The Neve 1073N was the first Neve I bought, and it blew my mind. I then added the 2264ALB compressor for 500 lunchbox, then the RMX16 reverb. Now, I also have the Neve 88M. If I won a million bucks tomorrow morning, I’d have spent 90 per cent of it on Neve gear by lunchtime. None of it has disappointed me, and it has made my stuff sound 100 per cent better. Neumann should be your next port of call!

This is such great stuff! I've watched so many videos about the production of electric guitars and acoustic instruments but it's so refreshing to see nice videos discussing the production of audio engineering equipment. Thanks Sweetwater!

Give me something that competes with the Rupert Neve Designs 5088 but at a third of the price.

Yes yes, go beyond the gear....by buying a console....which is gear. Brilliant.

I just wish Neve would get back to pushing the boundaries on what they can do with analog gear instead of the pushing how much they can charge for the gear as they primarily are doing now

@@HomeRecordingMadeEasy I find it very interesting that you rely on uninformed statements that you have no idea as to the truth of what you are saying and platitudes. Instead of actually saying how they are continuing to push analog gear forward you just gave the most bland, generic, PR comment. You just lashed out emotionally instead of engaging with what was actually said. And I know this because I know you can do better. I have seen it. I know you know how to engaging in a conversation about the quality of hardware. I think you make some of the best music production content on KZbin which is why this is so disappointing. I know you can do better. Please actually try to engage with what I said

I love Neve, and my studio is filled with their stuff. No complaints.

@@jloiben12 He did engage with the most important part of your comment which was an unproven claim that Neve is pushing how much they can charge for their gear. Do you have data to back that up? I don't have faith that you can do any better, but I'm willing to hear you out.

@@legacyShredder1 (1) Glad you like your Neve gear. They generally make good equipment. I don’t think there is much that they make where it isn’t up to standard. One may not prefer certain Neve gear to other alternatives, that’s totally fair, but I don’t know much that Neve puts out where the quality is the issue. (2) No. HRME didn’t engage with what I said. I said two things. I said Neve no longer is pushing boundaries and I said how they are now primarily pushing how much they can charge for the logo. HRME said nothing about how Neve is continuing to push analog gear forward. HRME said literally nothing about Neve’s pricing structure. He just seethed at me because I don’t get awstruck by a logo. (3) Yes. I do have data for this. What specifically would you like me to show you to demonstrate this point? What exactly do you need to see in order for you to recognize the validity of what I said?
@jloiben1210 ай бұрын
@@legacyShredder1 And to be very clear, Neve is far from the only one I critique like this. Companies like SSL have this same issue too. Although Neve simps are pretty much the only ones who won’t recognize this
