This is a crazy story for him not to be play highschool ball and only play aau for one season and go to the NBA....thats what you call not giving up...regardless of what he is in the nba now that is a serious accomplishment from such a horrible situation plus the death of his mom

LOL, I love Steve Francis, I only own one bball jersey and it's his from the Rockets, but this is ridiculous. This is the NBA draft. NBA. Not college or highschool. This IS like winning the lottery and this guy acts like a child. Regardless or where you play, being drafted to the NBA is the most amazing thing you can do, yet alone being drafted SECOND! That's an amazing accomplishment. Not good enough says he.

So, the guy refused to play in Vancouver with the Grizz, but he's okay with playing in China for crumbs? Apparently he's making less than $800k per season in China, which is less than the NBA league minimum.

Playing in Canada means he has to pay double taxes for both countries so who would want to make less money while being that far from your friends and family

No more feel good stories like this anymore. No more people coming form nothing - except Derrick Williams. I mean Greg Oden and John Wall they were the best sophomores in high school and they be number 1 picks. Its that simple if sbody is good at an early age he be drafted high. Tyreke was the numba one soph in hg he be an all star. When were the last time a guy came from nowwhere to b picked in the top 3?

It really isn't any different from any other major city. Besides he could live anywhere he wants to and wipe his ass with $100 bills. He's in the NBA.
