From the moment my essence appeared, my physical body was covered in chills, and my eyes watering.I cried. Thank you for this amazing chanel🙏 I can't describe it just jet but I feel so conected to Jung's work. Is there any exercise that could help me to go into deeper understanding of my financial blocks and this repeating financial chaos every summer 🙏
@makeitconscious4 ай бұрын
Hey Ms Czeczenka, Great work for going deep and opening up to your emotions. This is key to shadow work and the process of individuation. As Jung said: "Emotion is the chief source of all becoming-conscious. There can be no transforming of darkness into light and of apathy into movement without emotion.” Feeling is often the part we naturally resist the most, but it’s also where much of the transformative work happens. So good on you for being willing to go there. This openness to feeling will serve you well as you continue to cultivate a relationship with all parts of yourself. Keep moving forward, working through resistance one moment at a time. For addressing financial blocks specifically, I recommend The Wall exercise. I suggest this to most new coaching clients at the start of their programme. There’s also an extended version on the Inner Work Exercises podcast if you'd like more time: The Wall - KZbin) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/b6CbcpSlpraXrJI Extended version - open.spotify.com/episode/2GONu2WZnOyln7Az35rfNZ?si=2U1fMVqxRX6DD5xwHarqbw I’d be interested to hear what comes up for you in that exercise. The results can sometimes be quite surprising, and block in our physical or financial world can often have their source in seemingly unrelated matters. Thank you for your kind comments and engagement. Strength to you and feel free to check in and keep sharing your experiences🌟🔥

I have found these exercises to be challenging but I'm glad I"ve been doing them. I am a global learner. I think in layers. Slowing down to do things one step at a time is almost physically painful for me. I remember being in class, having the teacher do things step by step. That drove me crazy because I could see the answer literally two minutes in while other people were clueless (and the lesson could be two hours long). However, it wasn't until I was older that I learned the way I explained my process to getting to the answers was abnormal. I skip around, I don't do sequential like other people. In this process, I learned I needed to slow down and focus more on those building blocks. I never saw it as "who got to the answer first," it was just how I learned. So going into these exercises was a little bewildering to me but I learned: 1. Always take a nap before the exercises (that may just be a me thing). I'm less emotional that way. 2. I need reminders to stay focused. Just focus on this one step at this one moment.Believe or not, that can be really hard to do especially when your mind thinks in layers and this process may remind you of five billion things. And it's in those five billion things that you've come up with some really great thoughts, connections, just things that can change your entire life. It's no good though if you can't slow down to that one step. 3. I had a lot of conflicting energy in this because, as I mentioned, I am a big picture kind of person. So these exercises really forced me to slow down, waaaay down. I didn't feel irritated with it but I did feel stupid because it seems like one step at a time should be so easy to do. Anyways, I'm excited to continue on and learn more. I especially think the "how to talk to yourself" part will be really good for me. I'm not going to lie, it'll probably be hard (because my instinct is to do the opposite because I'm apparently five-years-old) but I'm always wanting to learn. Thanks!! Job well done btw!

Hey SleepyLee, great job persevering despite the challenge. It can be good to train our mind to work in ways counter to its preferences, but it benefits from a gentle approach. No worries if you find yourself becoming emotional during an exercise. If that’s what’s happening so be it. Same with getting distracted. While distractions can take you away from the primary intention of the exercise, but they can also show you what to work on. All of this is great feedback and insight into the mind. I understand you about the billions of thoughts and possibilities that can come up, some of which might be life-changing. At the same time there can be great value in letting these go too. What is most important has a way of coming up to the surface again in other ways. You’ll figure out your direction one way or another, so you can let them go safe in the knowledge that you’re on track. You could also try regular meditation if you are not already. It’s a good complement and might even work as an alternative to a nap before active imagination. I have a ten day meditation series from a couple of years ago you could check out: kzbin.info/aero/PLeuFwuWK5O2NmxQBrDJV0V21v_YHA7gyI I also think some unguided/freeform practice of active imagination would be a great thing for you to try to give you more free reign. The upcoming course ‘How to Talk to Yourself’ will help with just that. I'm also thinking to release one or two freeform exercises in the not too distant future which will be timed but allow for more freedom in the interaction. Keep going and remaining disciplined. Thank you for the comment and well done to you too ;)

I am eager for the rest of this series! It’s been a while since I’ve been able to work with your videos, but I’m delighted to jump back in. The insights gained here were really interesting. Not things I didn’t know, but things I don’t think I *fully* recognized and accepted. The symbols that appear before you even give them context are always so incredibly interesting… I had no expectations about who or what I’d meet going into this exercise - only that the few I’ve done “with you” in the past have always been extraordinarily interesting… But this one really felt like it dug deeper than I could have expected. It also made me really interested and intrigued to learn how this figure may shift over time and with more work applied. Meeting this figure really felt like it gave me a much more balanced view of my inner self, and it was so much more of a compassionate view than I have offered towards it as a concept before. I feel I can never say thank you enough for the videos you make, or how much personal insight they offer! It’s so incredible to think of how many different people will gain such different insights from taking this same material on for themselves. Thank you again for sharing it with all of us.

Thank you for the comment! That’s awesome. Great work digging deep. It can be profound to see what symbols appear during active imagination. Being able to access the imagination in this way can feel like a kind of superpower, but in truth it’s something everyone has the potential to do. The imagination is, in the words of William Blake, “the human existence itself.” You’re right - often what appears in active imagination is that content which appears ‘immediately below the threshold of consciousness.’ There are many reasons why we might not fully recognise and accept this material. Often this is due to resistance which exists for good reason, but must ultimately be faced in moving forward. It is also often this subconscious material that presents our current main challenge towards greater freedom and self-knowledge. It’s great to hear that meeting your soul was such a profound experience. Sounds like it was a powerful affirmation of self-love. Shadow work can even be seen as finding and resolving all the ways in which we secretly harm ourselves and learning to practice self-love instead. Active imagination is one of the best ways I know of to get to the heart of the matter and peel back the layers. Thank you very much for the encouraging words. I’m humbled that these videos have made such an impact on you. You are doing the deep work and gaining the insights, so you deserve a lot of credit for that. I’m grateful to you to be part of the process and to all the thinkers whose work inspired this practice. I don’t know what else I would do except keep synthesising and sharing it in my own way. Strength to you and hope to see you in a future episode🌟🔥

Hello Birgitte! That is wonderful to hear. Thank you for the comment and you're very welcome. The tarot series can be applied in many different ways, such as for insight into a particular life situation, after a reading or to enquire into the cards in your own chart. My soul was me. I didn't catch if she was Happy or aloof. Older than my age right now, with white hair and wearing a white tunic. She was like a statue: head looking the night Sky, left hand raised like receiving from the Moon and the stars and right hand pointing down. We didn't speak but when I was greeting her I said 'I see you.' And a drop of tear came down to her right eye.
@makeitconscious2 ай бұрын
Well done for digging deep. This is a richly symbolic account and it sounds like you successfully connected with the unconscious content. It seems to carry characteristics of the Self archetype. In any case it contains some strong clues as to where to focus next. The opposing arms, one up one down, is clearly referring to the limen itself between known and unknown, your position as the conscious stance amid the wider unconscious. The left arm being raised is interesting since the left side is more typically associated with the unconscious, but then the fact it is pointing up to the moon and receiving something makes sense. Your greeting to her at the end opened up the possibility of an exchange, which she seemed to feel marked by the tear on the right side. The right side here seems to relate to the earth, the mundane and 'real.' Overall I think this is inviting you to continue interacting and opening up both to an emotional energy exchange as well as the unconscious in general. Great work! The rest of the series is now live and could be an option if you wanted to keep exploring this part of you. Feel free to keep sharing your experiences and I'd be interested to hear how this develops 🌟🔥

I imagined a small street in a very old European flavoured city, somewhere like Prague or Paris and there was a wooden sign holder like the outline of a large bird and beside that was an old fashioned grocery shop with cheese and jars of honey, and other things like lavender and so on. The shop was really clean but homely and I there was a portly man with an apron behind a wooden counter. He directed me wordlessly towards the right hand side where there was a circular mossy entrance like an ancient sewer or tunnel network but as I approached the entrance I realised that to the left as I went in that entrance was another large circular entrance where there was a large area which was like a market with spaces and half setup stalls in an almost catacomb like area with beautiful full moonlight coming in at the centre. There were a few people off in the distance,in the middle but I was content to watch from the entrance and just observe the archways and brick work which was like the cobblestones in very old streets and buildings.

Nice work Christopher, sounds like a good introduction to the series. Your connection to the imagination is clear and will serve well as you dig further. All the objects in this experience relate to you in some way and your relationship with the unconscious mind. Hard to say necessarily what it means at this stage, but themes of foreigns lands, ancient hidden realms and rustic elements seem to have a particular significance for you. The moon is a symbol of the unconscious and the 'other.' And between you and me, the moon was also an inspiration for this exercise in particular, so it's interesting that it should appear for you like it did also for @Samsara-14. Good stuff... keep going, and I'd love to hear how your experiences develop 🌟🔥

Do you have content around trauma and taking these techniques for resolving historical trauma which is still keeping me stuck?
@makeitconscious4 ай бұрын
Thank you and glad you liked the video. Most the existing and upcoming content on this channel - whether around philosophy, psychology, active imagination, shadow work - is relevant to resolving trauma. There is a great overlap between healing from trauma and developing self-knowledge. Active imagination is one such technique you can use for gaining insight and confronting unresolved issues from your past, as well as your family and ancestral history. I appreciate you might not want to share details here but feel free to contact me with your challenge and perhaps I can recommend something more specific. Either way, enjoy the Beyond the Limen series. I think it should help you make a dent in the issue and give you some tools and practice to take forward.

@makeitconscious4 ай бұрын
Hey there, welcome to the channel and great work for diving deep. It's often not easy doing active imagination but it's certainly worthwhile. It is common for stored feelings and emotions to come to the surface or for the body to react in other ways. This is actually a sign that you are doing something right. By creating the conditions and applying this technique you are allowing these aspects of mind to come together and reconcile. This is a good thing, so well done and keep going, allow the feelings to flow. This is a fantastic start 🌟🔥

I keep falling asleep when I do these practices. Is that a problem? I don’t feel like I’ve awoken from a normal sleep though
@makeitconscious3 ай бұрын
Hi there, good work persevering with the guided exercises. I wouldn't say falling asleep is a problem per se. Like all experiences it's giving you feedback into the mind. However it isn't conducive to an interaction with the unconscious material if you're falling into a deep sleep. If you're falling asleep consistently then it's certainly worth trying some different approaches. The first thing of course is to ensure you're getting enough sleep at night. You could also try different positions such as seated or even standing. Unguided practice is also important and you might find it easier to stay awake that way. I will be releasing a course on how to practice unguided in just over a week and some more content on that to follow. I'll also caveat this by saying sometimes the line between waking and sleeping can be quite fine. While falling into a deep sleep isn't active imagination, sometimes the deepest interactions can have a very sleepy and dreamy quality to them. One just needs to take care to be alert and give enough energy to facilitate a meaningful two way interaction if that's the aim.
