Family 💜 It was back in the 60’s on a Thursday night, That I enjoyed special moments of sheer delight. For on the Andy Williams show, I first saw the Osmonds and love would grow! I was only then in Primary School, When their family became to me a jewel. I was far away in distant Australia, But noticed details of their behaviour. So young to be committed to challenging work, Their energy inspired me not to shirk my responsibilities at school and home, And their example led to seeds first sewn. The perfect harmony of their voices, Smiling faces and musical choices, Performing together as a synchronised team, But each one with a personal gleam. I thought it to be a wonderful buzz, To perform with your siblings because, That young stage of life is over so quickly, And a family bond enhances one richly. So through these boys I had a dream, Of what a loving family can mean. And all the time I thrilled to their dancing As the routines were often quite entrancing. How surprising when I heard their voices, On the theme song of “Jamie McPheeters” Recognised them right away And hoped they were on the show to stay. As time went by I grew to learn, Their authenticity and in turn, Watched them pass their values on, To another generation who also shone. So in these complex modern days, I appreciate a family who stays, True to their core humanity They’ve impacted on my life you see! So Osmonds, from Virl through to youngest Jimmy, Your recent “ Last Chapter” was felt dearly, An emotional tribute from the original four brothers, In one final performance to rival all others. Good fortune and god bless in your ongoing lives, As your legacy powers on and survives.

The Osmonds were the sound track of my youth, and I still listen to their music to this day! Crazy Horses, Phase III and The Plan were among the great rock albums of the 70’s! And at the end of the day, there isn’t an Osmond song that I didn’t like!

I would love to hear so much more from all the Osmonds about their life experiences .. we all know a little of the behind the scenes of Donny and Marie however, they are a diverse and interesting family. This interview was fascinating and I’m sure Jay has more to share ... there are lots of Osmonds each with their own unique story

Why don’t you do a Mini Series Of Each Osmond’s perspective of things, how things were different for each of you & the things you perceived the same way etc.... I love hearing all your stories & ALL Things Osmond! I’m a big fan, have been since One Bad Apple & I love the whole family, but Jay, you’ve always been my Favorite!!! I’m so happy you found the Girl if Your & Your Dad’s Dreams. LOL Really so glad you & Karen are so in love & Happy. 😊♥️

Such a lovely glowing light. Loved the mention of Elvis & Ronnie Tutt. Jay is so modest & humble to give himself an accolade, (I will); he is a tremendous drummer!!! I agree that he is so down to earth. When I had the awesome opportunity to meet with him when I was at church during a visit to my family in Wales, I got to chat to him not just as a lifelong Osmond fan, but as fellow Americans and church members. He was so interested in me and my family and pointed out how many similarities we had. Great interview. Good luck with show.

I'm rather disappointed because his "deeper" BOOK ended up as a MUSICAL (someone ELSE'S dream-come-true) . And his wife was picked out by his FATHER. Another thing I found interesting, coming from such a religious family, was the order in which George listed her attributes. Loving God came 4th, AFTER smart, cute and fun. Loving Jay came in last. But I'm sure Jay is a very independent thinker. I suppose it's difficult after a lifetime of always being told what to do, when to do it and how to do it. To be clear. I love Jay and think he's talented and has a great heart, just like all his other siblings who were "trained/controlled" by their very religious father. Wayne wanted to become a flight surgeon in the airforce, but his father refused him his independence and an education. My heart broke for him too.😢 Well, I hope some day Jay will finally write his BOOK.
