Texas dreams, the experts in breaking amazing gymnasts Bailie Key tops the list as the most broken gymnast, so broken she only competed one shaky routine during 4 years in college, such a talent list in vain Then we have Macy Toronjo, we can say she’s more lucky because she got to compete few times at UCLA, obviously not reaching her full potential because of injuries We also have Ragan Smith and Emma Malabuyo. The former had some success in the beginning but her two years as a senior were painful to watch as she tried to stay competitive while clearly injured, and didn’t have a proper closure to her elite career. Same with Emma : huge success as a junior, than disappeared as a senior because of an injury after the other, at least we got see her in 2021 but it was a bit too late to catch up to gymnasts who has few years of internationals experience and progress They’re both doing well though in college, sth we can’t say about Toronjo or Key

@@embeth446 that probably wasn’t the right word choice haha. When Dominique was trying to make a comeback in 2006 she only competed two events at the secret classic. She said that usag told her she needed to get a certain score to qualify to the national championships and she got that score but then they said she couldn’t compete. In her memoir I believe she said that Kim Z encouraged them to not let her compete because she had been speaking out about being abused by the Karoyli’s/Nassar.

Chris' use of Normative Feedback, is right on the edge, but overall right on. Only negative I see here is the fact that the major gymnasts, Bailie and Peyton suffered horrendous injuries which ruined their elite, and in Petyon's case, college career. I hope these injuries were not the result of being pushed too hard. Now, in 2017 Regan is US champ and favourite for the world title, whilst Emma is 2nd best junior and an early favourite for Tokyo 2020

Sara Lloyd Making kids starve themselves, physically abusing them, and creating an isolated environment for a pedophile to run rampant in is just “a different coaching style.” 🙄 Look at Kim, but look at the gymnasts who were never world champions or Olympic medalists who purposely injured themselves not to go back, who have eating disorders, who have PTSD, how many of the 198 to come forward at the Nassar trial just “had a different coaching style.” Sure abusing already very talented athletes into working even harder has worked, does that mean that we should just keep doing it?
