If I didn't know this was a Spectrum Next game, I'd have assumed this was running on an Atari ST -- a lot of it looks and sounds very similar to what the ST was capable of, right down to the overscan-filling background colour!. Looks pretty speedy, smooth and slick, though -- and that's what you want from a racer like this. Doubly impressive for being put together in (compiled) BASIC!

That's exactly it! The feel has been nailed perfectly, which is what makes it such a neat one to play. As a first attempt, it's darn great. I hope they go on to expand it out - because I think you'd be able to get something quite epic for sure!

What do you think about Delta's Shadow and Xeno Brigade?

I quite enjoyed Delta's Shadow (I have some stuff about that coming *real* soon), and as for Xeno Brigade - I don't believe it's out yet, but it is one I am keen to check out when it does launch. Even if I'm not that great at Laser Squad/Rebelstar/XCOM et al.

Being an Oceanian I don't recognise any of the locations. Why use deserts when there are so many iconic sites they could use ? Still I'll probably pick it up in preparation for my Next arriving.

Yeah, I guess they tried for an Outback environ, though I'd have though a more reddish tone to the ground would have felt more suitable. It's quite a fun one, though if one's not necessarily a fan of the Super Hang-On formula, I can see how it might get a tad samey. I certainly had a lot of fun with it so far - and I'd love to get to the point where I can do the five course continuous run!

Looks interesting, although that last frame of the bike knocked over looks a bit odd. The scenery looks good
