In the last video we showed you how BATC makes the vectors. Now we show you what they look like in the program! We do this with a vectored approach into the ILS and then we shoot a go around procedure as ATC vectors us around the airport for another approach. #flightsim #microsoftflightsimulator #msfs2020

ATIS is sometimes automated at larger airports, but is more often spoken by a human at smaller (Class C or D) towered airports. This is probably where some of the flak is coming from where pilots (especially GA pilots) are going to be more used to hearing an actually controller reading out the ATIS and then the automated system reading out AWOS/ASOS.

It's not only big airports. Many small airports use them.* Especially places where the weather changes regularly. Having the controller or assistant manually record it every time is a huge waste of resources when you can buy a cheap automated system. I hear almost zero manually recorded ATIS these days. And to be fair, most ATIS in Europe sound more like a normal person than the robotic one in this video. *(Remember, the world is a large place existing outside of the USA 🙄)

As a retired Airline pilot this application is quite well done. Congratulations to your entire team. It is a missing piece for me trying to keep the nostalgia alive. Amazing product and cant wait to buy it when it becomes available. One side note, tower would have held onto you until after you crossed 24 left. They control both runways and wouldn't turn you over to ground until you are outside their territory. The call would have been Exit AA cross runway 24 Left at AA then contact ground at 121.65. Or would have been exit AA cross runway 24L at AA then turn left on E and monitor ground on 121.65

Looking so forward to this. The cost restructuring was huge. Im not personally a fan of vatsim as I just like to do my own thing, but also miss the realistic interaction with atc. My original IRL flight training was out of an international airport, and I miss the whole environment. Just chose a different career direction

6:49 I think what most people are probably getting confused about when it comes to the ATIS is the few time in certain airport that it’s an actual person recording the ATIS message which isn’t as common

Awesome program 👏 The only thing that needs tweaking would be the ATC frequencies for Socal KLAX area. Arrivals from the South of KLAX use Socal Approach frequency 128.10 and Socal Departure KLAX North Runways 24L/R use frequency 125.20. This is real world flight information. Thanks

I have a question. Also, great demonstration video! Thank you. This is the first I’ve seen since I was at the Expo last year. At that time, voice support not expected or was unknown, which was a dealbreaker for me being a VR-only user. So I stopped following the project. Thanks for posting to the Discord channels. Now, this will surely be on my purchase list. My question is… Will the frame to which you kept referring (with the text ATC instructions) be visible inside of VR? One of the more frustrating parts of VR is struggling to remember complex clearance, taxi, and approach instructions without having to break the immersion and remove the goggles to write it down for readbacks. VR access to that frame would be of considerable value. If it is not currently planned for VR, please consider. Thanks again! Great job!!

I know you've mentioned the ATIS voice thing in a prior video, and again in this video, but I haven't seen any clarification regarding how the voice will sound at NON-major airports. Like yes, the LAX voice sounds robotic, but if you go listen to the ATIS at Santa Monica it is a human voice. Just wondering if this will be reflected in BeyondATC or not.

Fantastic add on! One little nit pick…..when approaching airport from the south in this example wouldn’t LAX set you up and vector you to land on the south runway complex 25L and not have you cross the approach path of 25L to get set up on 24R? Real pilots please input please……?

Ok, after watching this video, there´s only one question: What keeps you from releasing? Looks pretty polished to me or are there still problems with injection and controlling a crowded airspace? If so, release as early access.
