There's something beautifully intimidating about that Blacktron raid, and how they manipulate these alien monstrosities (the brains, the one Dark Young-esque creature devouring a civilian) to fight alongside them, how they overrun the Futuron base and are quickly approaching the M-Tron facility and penitentiary, that gives this diorama a great sense of conflict and danger.

I'm sorry, but guys, maybe it's just nostalgia talking, but the old vintage "generic" sets were so superior to the current licenced sets and "named" sets (Ninjago, Nexo Knights, ect)

Having grown up with Ninjago, I can tell you nostalgia doesn't enter into it. Those were some great sets. My favorite was the Space Police from 2009, but I remember getting a bin of my dad's old legos from like the 80s (We're talking classic space) and I still like those more than most modern sets. If you think about it, the more generic it is, the more it works as lego, because it allows for more imagination and creativity in play, which is more in line with the idea of Lego.
