Wasn’t expecting the Sigma at the end, I’ve been determined to buy this lens for a while now and pair it with either a zv-e1 or an fx6. Apart from the focus performance that probably is great but not native Sony glass level I think it’s a no brained for field sports like the ones u mentioned. Got a smile on my face when I saw it pop up, looking forward for your review of it!!

Hi, is the canon r7 with the 18-150mm lense is still a good buy in 2025 for sport videography?
@snxpez.visuals24 күн бұрын
Honestly don’t buy a variable aperture lens for sports. Get like a 70-200 f4
@BeyondTheGame_E24 күн бұрын
It's a great place to start and that lens has a good zoom range. But eventually you'll probably want to upgrade to a higher quality glass.
@saucegotti94029 күн бұрын
What about Tamron 18-300mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III-A compared to the Tamron 17-70mm I’m debating on which one is a better lens? To go with my Zv-E10 ii
@BeyondTheGame_E9 күн бұрын
If you want a sharper lens with a lower and constant aperture, go with the 17-70mm. But if a much greater zoom range is more important to you, a zoom range that can cover both indoor and outdoor sports, go with the 18-300mm.
@ZonaEnduro24 күн бұрын
What about a6700? We take the camera outdoors only in nasty conditions… so weather sealed is a must. Thx! 🙏

Hey E?! What’s your thoughts on the Tamron 50-400 full frame lens? It’s about $800 cheaper. 10:14
@BeyondTheGame_E23 күн бұрын
Looks like a great option for outdoor sports but I've never used it personally so I can't say much about it.
@marlonhoward33823 күн бұрын
@ Thanks for responding E! I’m going back and forth trying to make a decision between the 50-400 or the 60-600. One thing that concerns me about the 60-600 is the Counter Clockwise zoom ring that sigma lenses are know for. Also, the weight factor. But that extra reach is very enticing. But, is it truly needed?
@BeyondTheGame_E23 күн бұрын
@@marlonhoward338 Needed, absolutely not. I personally never filmed with more than a 200mm zoom. But it's probably very fun to have that option.

Hi I've been looking around youtube for inspirations for filming and editing sports footage and you are probably the best person on this platform teaching it so well. I play basketball and badminton however majority of the time I film my badminton sessions instead of basketball and I've been trying to improve my edits for it. Can I get some advice on this because the footage is basically just being shot from a tripod at the corner of the court
@BeyondTheGame_E13 күн бұрын
@@GuuluuGuuluu my advice is to move that tripod around the court as much as possible to get a bunch of different camera angles. That will make your videos way more dynamic.

I don’t livestream sports sorry. But for a minimal setup, all you need to do is connect the fx30 to a computer with a USB-C cable and you’re good to go.

Trying to get into indoor basketball videography, was thinking of the FX30 or ZV-EV10 ii. If I get the EZ-EV10 II would I outgrow it quickly, and should I just go for the FX30? Also, I have several nice Canon EF lenses 70-200mm f2.8 is it foolish to try an leverage these lens with an adapter?
@BeyondTheGame_E23 күн бұрын
The only major gain you would get going from the ZV-E10 II to the FX30 is an internal fan and access to XLR microphones. The image quality itself would be exactly the same. But to leverage your Canon lenses, I would recommend getting a Canon camera even if you need a Canon EF/RF adapter, the autofocus will work much better than if you use a Canon to Sony adapter.

I would love your impressions on the 28-70, don’t you feel like not having 24 is a big disadvantage and also it not having stabilization ?
@BeyondTheGame_E23 күн бұрын
The only zoom lenses I use for sports are 35-150 and 70-200. So 28 is actually an improvement for me on the wider side. But to be honest, the difference between 24 and 28mm is negligible at best in my opinion. Also, of all my lenses, the 70-200mm is the only one with stabilization and as much as I appreciate using it, I don’t miss it on my other lenses.
@MediaByMatias23 күн бұрын
