I just noticed my desk wobbles because it doesn't have any glide system as shown at 6:40. What is the material the glides at 5:34 are made of?

I have a standing desk. If I try to lift the front right corner, it is extremely heavy, but the rear right corner lifts easily. Whereas the left front corner lifts easily, but the rear left corner is extremely heavy. Any idea why that might be? Thanks.

I've heard that putting adjustable pull up bars as a reinforcement can be a good solution. It essentially turns it into 4 legged desk. Just ordered mine and will update how it goes.
@Violant324 күн бұрын
did it work?
@Farkeman24 күн бұрын
@Violant3 yeah it works pretty well! Though it's not particularly convenient if you go between standing and sitting modes of an adjustable desk as setup takes a few minutes

My Herman Miller desk has a "stabilizer" bar that confuses the heck outta me. Its screwed under the desk between the legs, but is about 2" from either leg. How an earth does this bar do anything?

That is more likely for the surface to prevent bending with weight on top of the desk -GK

Are C-shaped designs more susceptible to wobble/stability issues over time?
@btodtv3 жыл бұрын
C-shaped designs tend to feel more stable front to back because of the gravity applied to the front. The center mounted T-Base promotes more rocking since everything is center balanced -GK

Can you please help me out? I have an uplift standing desk which I set to about 40 inches because I had to work on something underneath the desk. I got up too fast and my shoulder smashed upwards from under the desk into the front left corner. The impact was quite hard and now the desk has very bad front to back wobbling. Even slight pressure can cause the desk to violently rock back and forth now. I'm not exactly sure where the instability is at but it seems to be in the legs of the desk. Is there anything I can do to fix this or has the desk been damaged beyond my control?

Does the entire leg assembly wobble(like the front or back of the legifts off the ground), or does it flex while the table top wobbles?

It seems like wobbling is an inherent issue here, every standing desk wobbles more or less and not as stable as traditional desks, they basically trade stability for height adjustment.
