I watched a Teachers Game Too tips video for Ab SO I find myself comparing. He had 20 or so less tips in his video, 31 minutes long, doesn't edit his videos and just flies around in GCM the whole f#%king time. Not bad information for the most part but yeah comparing that to your video (which has way less views) It's about 100 times better, shorter, more concise, more valuable information, the hard work you put in really shines through and I do hope the algorithm picks this up much more. You are my go to when it comes to guides, always knock it out of the park!

Wildcard delayed it 3 or so times over 3 days and when they did release the map it was the most broken map since the ASE Beta days. At about 13:00 about the gas veins, for a couple early game gas balls you can just toss any old rubbish down near the vent after it's erupted and then pick up all and it should net you about 3-4 balls each time.

Edge 1 is the best spawn in my opinion, it may say hard difficulty but the only thing you have to worry about that area is the occasional raptor. There is even a blue zone entrance.

Brilliant video, but you said something about chainsaw being the best for crabs "once transfers open." I'm not sure if the engram is available or not, but since I transferred a character here, I was able to craft one and you get a ton more than you would just killing them (300+ on 2x instead of like 70). I understand if you intend the video for someone with a fresh start, but I figured I would at least point it out for the majority who likely already do have access to crafting one whether or not the engram is available on Aberation.

I must admit I just assumed the engram was not available as that is the way it has been in ASE previously but yeah looks like you can unlock Scorched Earth engrams, at least with my fresh character on my Nitrado server where I have no settings altered so I would assume it's possible for everyone! The videos are definitely intended for people not able to transfer but yeah it does look like they have made ex DLC engrams available on new DLC maps!

What's the source of the screen capture you show in the section on season cycles. I haven't been to the surface yet because this is my first time on Aberration and I'm a chicken, but on Raasclark's stream there was some debate between him and chat as to how the mechanic works in ASA (after his Yi Ling got turned into a phoenix). He swore up and down that it works the way you are showing in your video, but a lot of people in chat were saying that the speed that time passes at is constant and it's the time the sun rises that changes in ASA. As always, thank you for a fantastic video! I learn something new every single time. 😀 Edited because I'm a numpty that can't type and mispelled Raasclark's name.

Good vid but the surface times no longer function like ase. On 90 night the reapers and nameless will stop spawning at about 6 am but the surface doesn’t light on fire till after 11:00am so you can have 5 hours in game of reaper free drop hunting. Also the night cycle starts earlier. Around 14:30 on 90 night the fire goes away. There is also a section of the red zone that is not irradiated that makes a great spot for farming organic poly with a bear.

Easiest basalisk tame we had found is to just sit on a stego and tank the bites while it eats. Works like a charm and you can basically afk it😊

I've tamed 3 after seeing this zipline method, so easy and you don't have to run a Stego to where you want to tame it, which takes 2 weeks in itself 🤣

@freddyhickman6955 this is true but don't zippines get affected by enemy foundations? With how pillar spammed official is you may not always be able to place a zip. Using a karkinos to drag a stego takes a bit more time but it's an easy option if u can't build. Both methods deff work better than previous ways to take em. Less buggy for sure than on ase

I guess that is the beauty of ARK, Stego will definitely work easy too, I think a lot of people go to the trouble of trapping them or using the shoulder pet under a foundation strat, found it easier to not use those to be honest XD Also unsure about zipline placement being blocked by enemy foundations, I will need to test that!

The easiest way to get black pearls and oil in early stages is to tame a spino and trawl up and down the river on all fours. Have yet to harvest an oil rock and we have about 1000 plus oil and 10+ gas

The baby karkinos was how I got my first one early, was amazing! Side note, why the hell is there rock drakes all over in the green zone? Made my base by the waterfall in green into blue and found them all over there and edge 3... queen bees are all over the ground ive found opposite of the water after dropping the bridge from portal.

edge 1 can actually be safer than most because that is the spawn region between the fertile river and the edge . most of the wild dinos around there are herbivores with rare raptor spawns .

Yeah to be fair it's not too bad there either, I've always had the best experience from Fertile lake but yeah that is definitely the second best spawn for me, Portal can be so chaotic with them Basilisks XD

A few more notes; There is a small patch of Red Gems in the Green area, roughly around 36, 36. You'll have to climb up to reach it. Trilobites are easily farmable using Diplocaulus', probably it's only good use on this map. They insta kill/gather with one bite, and since the trilobites respawn in that pool roughly near the portal spawn almost instantaneously, you can set up an insane pearl/chitin/oil farm. They also give you oxygen, so you can stay down under the water for a veerrrry long time. NE and NW surfaces don't need a hazard suit, there's no radiation. I haven't been to the SW one yet, but honestly I think the NW one is the best. It's the smallest, and also the most condensed for drops. You can stand on a high surface and see 99% of the drops in that area from a single spot. There is also a massive over spawning surface issue (that the dev's are aware of) so a huge word of warning to anyone that doesn't have a fast and powerful mount.

If you play single player or have a server look into the Moros Nothosaurus Dino mod, it has a silica pearl radar ability that pings where they are and it harvests them like an angler fish as well. Very useful mod but if your on official then I agree it’s infuriating that they took away the shine from them as they’re incredibly difficult to find normally.

Really? It is a lot of health admittedly, a high level Megalosaurus with a light pet turned on deals a lot of damage quickly, I use one in my videos that only has 560% damage, easily obtainable after breeding 2 high levels together and raising a baby. The one I use isn't imprinted either. As for not being able to find any...are you playing Single Player? They spawn a lot on my rented server!

I need help. For some time now, my game has felt like it's broken. When I join a game, firstly, I have complete lag on my 3060 Nvidia and secondly, my game feels like it's broken and is giving me a light spectacle level, I have no idea. I just want to play Ark and everything is flickering and shimmering so that the game is almost impossible to play and I'm going blind😭. I don't know if it's possible on official, but on my dedicated server when I first log on it's like walking into a rave on fast forward. The light and shadows aren't flickering, but all out going nuts. I open the console and just type 'reconnect'. After 30 seconds or so the game boots you and connects you again. Every time I've done it the light shows are completely gone when I log back on. You may need to enter admin cheat. I have been, but don't know if it's actually required. Hope this fixes it for you!

I have a question (for you and anyone !) what is the problem with dinos (a new tame for exemple) that refuse to enter (pass through the doors) when returning to the base ??? it's like horses in real life when they "reject the obstacle" kind of thing ! ... it is so anoying to see them runing around like stooopids and have to run after them !! Yeah I heard the dino pathfinding is at its worse with the Aberration release :(...I'm not really sure either to be honest, I guess if you own a Karkinos it'll be easier to grab and throw most creatures around where you want em XD

edge 1 is not hard and is probably one of the better starting points vs lakes that have more dangers

You are right, I was working on a massive lack of sleep when making this video and kinda just forgot about edge 1 but tbh the threats aren't bad minus the basilisk which is the only problem Karkinos is slow and usually lurk inside the lake and same with Spino and has a very small aggro radius but yeah Edge 1 is near one of my favourite base locations and I still forgot XD

the Yi Ling once it gets you to 30 it's trail will turn red, once it shoots you three times once it's trail is red it will dive. Makes it easy to time the flashbangs.

I disagree haha, I'll be most likely diving into the DLC stuff soon, I like to keep these types of videos separate to be honest! At least this is accessible to everyone and not just people with the paid DLC pack.

@@johnhussey4539 don't get me wrong it's fantastic, but with out the bobs tale you miss out on the gene modification which is already a massive deal on official servers, we've been going hard with the traits so we will be able to fight when servers open up, the blimp is awesome, there's new forges, incubators and a whole whack load of stuff that you will NEED if you want to survive on official. Not to mention cosmo which is the best rocket running tame in the game since you can literally turn yourself into a particular accelerator and launch yourself across the entire map.

Hopefully next weeks patch fixes alot of these issues. I usually find Anky's on the edge of the bio luminescent biome and the fertile region. I fear they do get killed off more than we'd like due to the hostile territory :(
