It also does more damage than poisoned knife. Poisoned knife is ONLY worth it when you need to poison your off-target(s) or when FoK will break CC. Last tier FoK talent also does WAY more damage than poison bomb.

You're not getting what I am trying to say :). Hidden blades does WAY more single target damage and thus has way more single target pressure than RNG poison bomb will ever have.

Vince Hesselberth bomb can proc way more often, scales with mastery and toxic blade. I think 1 max stack fan will only be good at that max stack but it way too much downtime.

really nice and well explained guide! +subbed i just have 1 question: why do you use toxic blade before the two multilate instead of after them? isnt the point of toxic blade to enhance the envenoms after building cp? keep up the videos!

Glad you enjoyed! Theres no reason other than the ability hits decently hard as well. Technically delaying it will allow you more envenoms in the debuff but in a 3v3 scenario you intend to kill the target within that 9 second window anyway so in optimal situations the exact position of toxic blade shouldn't really matter as long as you are hitting envenoms afterwards ;) cheers. Also as a side note if you use it first you dont run the risk of wasting combo points at much as a single mutilate scoring 2 crits ca give 4 combo points. :)

If u play in bg's or with another stealther you can maximize pressure by pre-using mfd like 25-28 sec before your go, then open w full (rupture-garrote-garrote-kidney-vendetta-mutilate-tb-(mutilate)-env-mfd-env-mut-mut-env. (this is by far the best opener i've come up with if you are sure u will be able to get to the first kidney without the target using defensives or u being cc'd) It's great against casters who are silenced until your kidney.

Hey Evasion, for the opener at 4:40, why do you mutilate after the first garrote? Since you're using SS trait, I personally think it's better to use another garrote. This will bring the empowered garrote from 17sec to 24sec duration and put out alot more damage than this mutilate will. It's also taking 5 energy less than mutilate and provides just as much CP.

Best assa openers atm are multi target openers that usually start with target A garrote target B garrote + rupt + MoD + kidney etc .... Please never CS into MoD kidney

I have a total noob questions as I have just begun playing a melee class after years of ranged DPS. When you are casting mutilate in your rotation, is this an auto attack or do you toggle auto attack off and actually physically cast it is it wise to play with auto attack toggled on or should I play with it off is basically what I'm asking. Auto attack is just something that happens while you are in combat in melee range. Dont stress about it. Its just free damage that happens while you fight!

And to be clear, when you are using it in your opener, your actually pressing the button rather than letting the auto attack do the spell. Sorry I have no clue how auto attack works as in does it take away your global or use up energy when I’m trying to save energy for a finish. And then is it wise to maybe just turn it off. stealth -> garotte -> cs -> rapture -> muti -> muti -> (if 4 cp) poison blade -> ks (if 5 cp envenom -> poison blade -> muti - muti) -> ks -> vendetta. cause you gotta make sure that you have all your dotting dmg on target before you pop vendetta, since it's increasing EXISTING dot dmg

This was changed years ago. Not even sure if feral bleeds operate under those rules anymore. It will increase anything on target during vendetta. Also physical classes like warrior could stormbolt you on your garrote there. Also way to many globals between cheap shot and kidney shot leaving the target chance to react. With this opener you will likely be popping vendetta into an enemy defensive cooldown. Sorry but it doesn't sound very powerful to me.

Vendetta after or before mark + kidney shot? does it matter? Sensus said you should pop vendetta only after kidney shotting but you showed using it before and both of you are realyl good so i'm not really sure

His reasoning behind doing it after kidney shot its probably assuming you are going for a full 6 second kidney. The reason he tells you this is so your vendetta is not wasted by the target heroic leaping or rolling or something to get away. In the opener i used cheap shot the target cannot run and in the garrote -kidney opener I made note to not use it on things that can peel you with a physical ability like stormbolt (which can be used while silenced by garrote) If i was training someone down and had my bleeds up and was gonna burst randomly(as in outside the opener) i would just kidney - vendetta - toxic blade - etc. I hope this helps. Basically put your opponent in a situation where they need to use a major cooldown to deal with your vendetta!

Silly question, but did you start at full energy? There is no way you came up short on energy. The 3 abilities in the opener add up to less energy cost then our first 120 energy! Simply Cheap shot > garrote > rupture is what you were referring to? Let me know! Lets get this figured out! :)

I mean the actual DOTs, bleed, rupture... the one that floats above the targets (not the target healthbar next to yours) have timers on them. The wow interface allows you to see those DOTS but without a timer. Also, thanks for the top quality content!

I feel like you have to focus on more setup styled plays with your teamate, as if we stand toe to toe vs a warrior they will usually out pressure us. Try to bring the warrior away from their healer so that your priest can get easier fears and stun the warrior as their healer comes in and have your disc priest do damage with you!

I get in 1 garrote for the extra combo points from shrouded suffication if I used it twice i'd over cap combos. If you were going for spread pressure in an arena or battleground situation you can garrote (3points) rupture- swap targets garrote (3 points-mutilate- 5 points-kidney vendetta toxic blade mutilate rupture or something etc) to take advantage of the trait. On a single target though it is kind of wasteful. :)

Generally assassination is about Applying our bleeds and then applying additional pressure through the use of kidney shot and envenom. Basically could do something like this. Garrote > Mutilate > Rupture > Marked for death Kidney shot (same global stun will come in off the silence to keep target locked down)> Vendetta > Toxic Blade > mutilate > Envenom if 4-5 combos here depending on seal fate/Mutilate if only 3 > Envenom if you had to mutilate the 2nd time. (Sorry it gets confusing near the end the thing about assassination that many struggle with is wasting combo points which makes the spec feel very slow. The better we manage our combo points the faster the energy regen will seem thanks to our venomous wounds passive and seal fate passives. :)

O NO! Playing properly usually out weighs talents. Master Poisoner is still great. I use it depending on my honor talents. It doesn't change the opener here it's really not important.
