Men marrying a doctor, lawyer, or otherwise high powered woman and turning them into a stay at home wife is the modern version of hunting.
@Disnotz
@Disnotz Жыл бұрын
No it's not. Youre acting like women have no agency. This feels like a cope to avoid responsibility. Most of the women who become house wife do because of mutual agreement oftentimes because childcare is expensive and many women prefer to be with kids. Not to mention many of these women quit their jobs because they marry a guy who makes more than them and know that can sustain their family and lifestyle. No woman who is a lawyer and doctor is quitting her job to be a housewife for her husband who is doing a part time job. That doesn't exist.

@@DisnotzUh sorry to break it to you but women in precisely that situation write in to advice columns all the time. These men wait until they are in a vulnerable place to pressure them. So dont act like no one does this. There is literally an episode on “I will teach you to be rich” where some dude wants his wife who makes waaay more than him to be a housewife. She’s literally post birth and hes upset she isnt cooking for him. Many women would rather pay for childcare than be stay at home mothers even if their salaries pay just enough! Its not some fantasy.
@Disnotz
@Disnotz Жыл бұрын
@@thezu9250 no woman who is a lawyer or doctor is that vulnerable to the point that they get pressured into it. That's just avoiding responsibility. One episode on some show doesn't mean anything. Most women who make more than their husband's aren't quitting their job to be housewives. There's no Stat which shows that. Just some anecdotes which drives the whole narrative. Not to mention women who make more than their husbands are minority so it doesnt even make sense to call it a widespread thing. Most people date within their range and women who are high powered lawyer and doctors date men who also have a high position. Even your last statement is false. One of the reasons for women not joining the workforce is not being able to spend time with children and not being able to afford childcare. That literally shows in data. So yes you statement is literally fantasy which is only echoed by women on social media who probably aren't even married themselves or have children and are very privileged.

Wow that was embarassing that u went to the literal extremes to try to highlight your point, its why alot of trolly women on the internet cannot be taken seriously. You talking about a 1/10 guy wanting a super model, when theirs women who are 3/10 expecting 6 figure men to take them seriously, but this sisterhood mentality of "never settling" is exactly why 50% of women will by single by 2030. You dont want a man, and you take the prompt protection you are afforded by many systems setup to cater to you as just things to take advantage of, so men are now treating you like how women are acting. Lets get back to women dressing modestly in the west, lets get back to a baseline weight for most women, lets get back to a woman caring about love and relationships not who can give me money and sex. Lets go back to divorce being 15% and shunned, or even better 70% of women initiating divorce for financial reasons lets change the laws so women can do better as a whole. When women can start having those honest conversations without using victimhood then we can have the convo about men.

Honestly I’m just really happy that these conversations are being held by women all over. Women are consciously waking up. As a collective I see a huge shift in women when it comes to romantic relationships with men. So many of us have been hurt, burned, and traumatized from most men we date/entertain. It’s a huge reason why I went from being boy crazy/pick me-ish all through my teens to getting my rude awakening in adulthood. Now at the age of 24, I am celibate and I do not seek out romantic relationships anymore. I see no benefits at all. I promised myself that I will NEVER place men above myself. I will never crave their attention and affection to my own detriment. Many are incapable of genuinely loving women. Many are incapable of being decent human beings to people, especially if they can’t gain something or f*ck them. I was exhausted but now that i have been single by choice, I have been completely at peace. I put all of that energy back into myself, friendships and family. I refuse to be another woman who wastes her life away chasing men, romance and being put through the ringer ! Sure it’s not all men, but is MOST of them and that’s the problem. I don’t have time to take a risk when 70% of men are not datable or marriageable. It’s sad because I still desire marriage but not if I don’t meet the right man . I’ll be happy single

You wouldn't want to be married to someone you had to beg or blackmail, but he should have told her earlier he wasn't interested in marrying her so she could find someone else. Also, women only have a certain amount of time to have kids so if she spent 8 years with this guy, those 8 years are gone and she has less time to find a quality person. Some people can't be alone so they'll string you along till they find someone else. I agree with you that she could have left sooner. They also tend to look for minor mistakes you're making like spilling a coke on the floor and they blow it out of proportion and start aggressively cleaning up after you like you did it on purpose. Subconsciously they expect you to be perfect even though they will never openly admit it you have to lie to them and always make them think you're okay...and you don't need a ride. If there overly kind to you or overly mean to you ignore them either way they hate it when there not the center of attention. This is true when men get together they say this stuff as well.A lot of men will also make promises that they fully know they will not keep because "they have to stop the nagging".Men most of the time will say "Women are emotional" no both human beings are emotional emotions is what keeps us moving forward and evolve as a living being women are just more expressive with their emotions cause they know that if things take a negative turn they're the one with the short end of the stick.Boy math is also knowing full well that when men makes a mistake in the relationship or plans and rather than owning up to their mistakes they would rather go to their bros and said "Aah! Women am I right? They're just dumb they don't see the WHOLE picture you know!" and then think that they are forgiven for their mistakes. This is not to say that women don't have their own toxic trait but it is to make some men hold accountability for their shortcomings and failure to acknowledge it.

As a hetero right wing male. You are correct. A man knows if he will marry you within the first few weeks. And as for marriage, most men are not ready for Marriage until age 40. As a male who’s seen all my friends get married in their 20s. Each did it out of “he needed a mommy”. Or his parents kicked him out and they need a woman to survive together with. Almost all my friends who married in their 20s are divorced. Only the religious ones are still together. So! What about the 40 year old men’s you ask. Got bad news for you. They’re dating 20-27 year old women in a third world country “passport bro”. The older man is finally in a position to get married and acquired the wealth needed and mentally matured (men matured far far later in life than women). So when he returns back to the west with a skinny young 20 year old wife and pregnant. The outrage of 30 year old western feminist women who are struggling to find a good man (mature, financially secure, ready to marry) is justified. And there’s a lot of regret in her heart “why did no one tell me when I was 20 I needed to find a wealthy older man? All I did was date broke jocks with good bodies. Now I can’t even attract the nerds and dweebs I use to reject, they’re all off flying first class with some peasant blonde girl from Eastern Europe or Scandinavia, or with some Asian woman. Grrrrr 😡 “ and hence this “boy math” trend is trending. It’s women spewing their justified frustration. And as a hetero male. I do not have an answer for you. Because it’s very bleak. Even if you said tomorrow “ok fine! I’ll be a house wife, feminine, submissive, and drop my career to make babies”. Unfortunately you’re late 30s early 40s when you finally say this. The 40-60 year old men are looking overseas. your only options might be senior citizen on their 3rd or 4th marriage who doesn’t even want kids anymore hence why he’s paying attention to you as you near 40. It’s a cruel cruel world out there for western women because no one warned you. And channels like these, are teaching young women to follow the same path the first wave, second wave , and third wave feminists all did in the past to be childless and unmarried., not intentionally, because she still hasn’t reached the stages described above yet. But by then, when she’s ready to teach her mistakes, she’ll be in her 40s and her audience will not be 20-30 year old women anymore. And so the vicious cycle continues as the next 20 year old “we don’t need no man” feminist gets a KZbin channel. Again, I sympathize with western women. You guys don’t have a “red pill” community like men do. Men are learning from the mistakes prior generations did of making men effeminate betas (aka todays liberal friend zoned orbiter). I’ll give you an example of a liberal man who fell through the cracks because he never had guidance. KZbinr: Hunter Avallone. His wife left him to go sleep with black men because she didn’t fine him masculine enough and unable to satisfy her. He’s still in denial to this day, as he makes video after video about his depression as a progressive. Women need to create their own movement and stop relying on western men. But I don’t have an answer because women do not want oversea men since they are financially poorer. Traditional women’s attraction to men is their confidence and machismo; so those women get married off quickly. But feminist women? I don’t know what type of man they like. Feminists clearly don’t want the beta male, since they have 100s of them friend zoned. And feminists secretly want an alpha male, but they would be betraying their ideology and belief systems since those men tend to be right wingers and toxic masculinity. The other option is a wealthy man, but he’s too busy getting a trophy wife overseas and your not in his radar anymore. Some women try lesbian 🤷‍♂️. But they know they’re not. Maybe a robot male for older women? But those won’t be invented for another few decades. You guys are in a difficult situation that future historians will talk about.

A contradiction in essence, since the said man, married this new woman 6 months after. 6 months is not “right time”. The lady in waiting for 8 years was simply the wrong woman for him. And since men are lying all the time and some lie a lot more and a lot better then others, they get to trick a woman into buying into this BS. I had a bf of 2 yrs and 7 months, who pulled the same BS on me when I was 24, but since we were at University ( getting our post grads) getting married was not ideal, i believed it. The moment he finished his post grads studies, we had the talk and I did not see a ring on that finger and I moved on. Thank you God for not making that relationship work! That man would have ruined my life. He was a baby, not a man and he married a mommy type superwoman ( i felt genuinely so sorry for her). The whole “wanting a doctor for a bride and not wanting her to work” is prevalent across the desi community. Case in point: My best friend/mentor met a guy for marriage a few years ago in Canada and the dude says “After marriage I want you to go and take care of mom in New Delhi”. She asked why they want a qualified engineer for that and he says “Reputation”. I was like wtf! There’s a whole Instagram thread/reels “Brown math”. You're right. Women treat men like babies. They're really not. They know exactly what they want. My guy engaged me in just under a year and had started dropping hints he was interested in marriage to me. Surprise surprise a couple of months later he introduced me to his mother and flew me down to his home country to meet the rest of his family. I was the only woman he has ever introduced to his mum. Men do everything they do ON PURPOSE. Stop waiting years for a man that doesn't want the same things you do AT THE SAME TIME.

This is how to stay single lol. There's no right time frame for marriage. Honestly, the longer you are with someone the more effort it takes to maintain a healthy relationship. I've been in a relationship for 4 years and neither of us feel ready for the commitment yet and all of the legal jargon intimidates me as well. I've seen how messy and heartbreaking divorces can be and I don't want that to be me. There's more to the story and tbh it takes a long time to truly get to know someone and their intentions.. and people change over time :(

Thank you for this video. Dangling the carrot in front of someone has become very common. Both men and women can do this but I've noticed it a lot with men. They dangle the carrot in front of you to get what they want (eg. promising marriage so they can live with you, have s$x, and have you do the chores and help pay the household expenses). I want to make it clear that this is not all men, but please be aware when someone is dangling a carrot in front of you (in the form of promising you an engagement ring that never appears, or promising to transition from a situationship to a relationship which never happens). We need to be aware of this phenomena and what people's true intentions are.

My mom also has a PhD and worked when I was a kid (and still had time to take care of us after work)... it's doable! This is the story of many women who wasted so much time (in their 20’s & 30’s) with a man who never had the intention to marry them. Women who are single by choice is because they don’t want to get played like this video, not because they’re choosing to be “free and carefree” forever. My latest boy math experience: Boy math is when you show hardcore porn to your female coworker at 9am because she's a lesbian and she should be cool with it right? Holy shit Update: I ended up quitting. The porn addictions are so bad that they would lose most of their team if I opened my mouth. They weren't going to fire more than half of their team because of me so I chose my battles and left. However, I found a way better job in a way better environment with less men. We don't really talk about the current access to pornography and the severe damage is causing. It's free crack in their hands 24/7 and we don't even bat an eye. Porn brain is real and it's very, very dangerous. I will porn shame you all day. That shit is gross and corny. You want to know the real reason for "men's loneliness"? It's the crippling porn addictions. It also gives men delusions of grandeur. They sure love to blame the supply for the demand.

I feel like we can't win in the patriarchy. Our value is intrinsically tied to our appearance. I came across this video by a Redpill type who who countered the charge that a spring/winter relationship where the girl is 24 or something is inherently based on manipulation and the uneven power dynamic saying 'no, they don't want you (someone older) because she's hotter than you. Your worth, your intangible qualities are dismissed by these men in one fell swoop. Cue Botox and the race against the clock. And you'll still not look young no matter how much money you throw at it. Unfortunately these cabals of toxic men are increasing. We've been subsumed by the patriarchy, one look at the cosmetics industry and the disparity between revenues from women Vs men is all the evidence you need.

The only thing I strongly disagree with is that a relationship that didn’t end in marriage is „wasted time“. It’s such a conservative and honestly kind of shallow view of relationships. Some women seem to be more interested in the wedding than the person that they are marrying (I‘m a woman too). There’s nothing wrong with wanting to get married and if that is important to you I understand that it can be disappointing to not get proposed to after years of a stable relationship. I agree that it is important to be honest with your partner on what your expectations and wishes are for a relationship. But to break it down to „If he doesn’t marry you, he wasted your time“ is so backwards to me. It also creates this hierarchy between married and unmarried women that isn’t healthy.

I was seeing a guy over the summer that was 16/17 years older than me. He could talk all day about how he didn't care about my age but as soon as it came to someone asking for my age (his family/neighbors), he told me to tell them I was 25 💀 Wasn't even sure why he was having me meet his family, since I told him I didn't plan on dating him from the start

I met my husband at 18 and he was 28. We've been together for 9 years and we've had an amazing marriage. He's never tried to take experiences away from me and has been my #1 supporter with my dreams/goals. Even went half on my college tuition with my mother.

Good for you. Good to hear about good men and relationships where there's an age gap that works out. All the best to you and your husband.

You married before your prefrontal cortex in your brain kicked in (25). Your dad should have helped your mom pay for college, your husband is not your dad. It sounds like maybe your home life as a kid impacted you. Was your dad around? There is an imbalance of power that you can’t see in your situation. I wish you could have gotten the freedom of your 20s before getting into something serious. At 29, you still won’t understand that last sentence I said, but you will by age 35. I can guarantee that you will at some point in your life miss the freedom you could have had while your brain was still developing between age 18-25. You deserve time to develop your individual identity before you take on the identity of wife. Your dad should have stepped up more.

@cosmiccatzen I have a man that helped support me and my dreams which is what every woman wants. I also had no issues with my parents growing up that would've impacted my relationships. My childhood was everything I could've asked for. I am 27 years old now and still do not regret it. When you say experiencing my freedom in my 20s, I've done everything I've wanted to do. I've traveled the world, have close female friendships and an amazing family. Experiencing my 20s doesn't mean experiencing different men. When you meet the right man what are you supposed to do? Let him go and say I have to live in my 20s? My husband has always empowered me to be who I am, never tried to take any freedom from me. I 100% have an individual identity but I also am married to the best man on earth. You'd rather have a man take you on expensive dinners than contribute to things that matter such as a college education? That's strange to me. Also, as a nurse practitioner, the prefrontal cortex is always functioning and does not simply "kick in" at the age of 25. It is the center for decision making and impulse control which is also different in each individual.

@@cosmiccatzenI think you should free her. There are some age gap relationships that do work. Some people just manage to meet by chance. Although if all His exes were women significantly younger than him I would raise an eyebrow to that

Your standards have to supersede wanting to be connecting to someone if they don't meet them. That's why I exercise so level of Detachment with every man I meet because I need to be willing to walk away from any man who doesn't Meer my standards or isn't consistent so NAH I don't feel bad for her.

you need to be careful after you get the ring as well. I was engaged and this man I was with turned my life upside down the minute he gave me the ring. If your relationship or engagement doesn’t improve your life, leave. I wasted 4 years of MY 20s doing wifey shit for someone who proposed but didn’t have the intention of getting married. In the long run, I’m so glad I never pushed that marriage, because deep down I was terrified. I truly regret the time wasted and how I destroyed my health for him. At the end of the relationship I had hormonal issues, crazy cortisol levels, depression and anxiety and needed therapy. I was being mentally, emotionally and economically abused. Please for your own good, never sacrifice yourself for any relationship!

Regarding the title, ladies, generally, if he isn't seriously discussing marriage with you between years 2 and 3, stop wasting your time. We know way before 2 years if you're marriage material for us. That doesn't mean you're not a quality person or not overall marriage material, just not marriage material for that particular guy.
