BFI BMW E82 135I

We’re back with the second installment of our “E82 Dudes” series. This time with an E82 135I - the turbocharged big brother of the 128i. Much like the 128i there is almost a cult following (albeit a bigger demographic for the 135i) for these vehicles. Those that own them love them, or occasionally hate them, but rarely feel indifferent about the 1 series.
While the 135i is a strong package in stock form this 2009 version was due from some upgrades. After 14 years it required maintenance that had long been overdue. So, while we were fixing these necessities, we decided to dive into a 500hp upgrade and the associated required parts, along with some optic improvements to the 135i. This interstate missile is ready for launch.

Love the fitment, how much camber are you running and did you have to roll the fenders to make that offset work?

The chosen tire size @2:44 is spot on correct for the E82 135i chassis. However, running spacers on these cars especially in the front is a mistake that can only create unnecessary problems.

We appreciate the compliment, but the second half of this comment is factually incorrect. We have designed and manufactured wheel spacers for many years. With proper hub sizing and wheel hardware, there are no issues (and this 135 has had no wheel spacer related issues since their install).

@@blackforestind I mean with spacers you get more dirt on the side of the car, you add weight, you increase the turning radius etc. All just so the wheel looks a bit more flush. Not worth it IMO. Most of the owners do it for form over function.

Running spacer is exactly the same as running lower offset my guy

My e82 got Bilstein B8, H&R springs and and 15mm spacers front and rear, i can put 20mm on the front, every week end i drive on twisted roads and no problems, looks good and fast driving, it's 👌

Nice..was there a reason you left out the vinyl wrap part?

We didn't wrap them - we replaced them with gloss black versions. We just forgot to film that part..

dang, owner went all in on this one.... how heavy are those Tuf-Rs compared to the stock wheels? I know it looks like a +1 size, but what kinda weight difference are we looking at? cast Rotiform come in around 30lb/wheel...

They aren't light - but Rotiform does make the TUF in a forged version if wheel weight is more important than package price.
