Jitterbugs are probably the easiest and fun topwaters to use. It's practically a no brainer bait. Cast and retrieve around cover. That and the whopper plopper.

Jitterbug. I lost all my big bass. My pond rose 5' and all the pasture grass died and was using oxygen to decompose. Then our first major cold front hit for 3 days and my pond turned over. I had a 8-10 in there at her heaviest. Last time I caught her she was 8-5. That's the one I really didn't want to die. Very few smaller bass survived. I think it took out all my big bass. I started getting Blue-green algae after it turned. A fisheries biologist said the soda does nothing to help bleeding. Said its better to drink it.
