Nice video! a very interesting one, and i think this modification makes more sence to the actual lore of LOTR. It seems that you must first try to eliminate the hero protecting op troops before wasting powers that use cooldown. This RTS game is very diferent from any other game alike that you not only send units to fight, you must be super aware also about timing, op heroes and counter units and action/response.

Thanks! For sure, all those aspects make this rts a truly one of a kind game. So much stuff to consider in a fast-paced game! Heroes can play such a big role that they can tip the scales one direction or the other very fast. Watch for those wizards!

@@Grimluk Yep, heroes are busted. With my play group some times, just for fun, we use the rule of not summon heroes and ban some spellbook powers... i know it kills the game in a way, but it can be quite fun to just relly on units and counter units in a more "even" match... Keep the good work!!

I will say, that as powerful as some heroes are, I think AOTR toned down alot of them compared to the vanilla games. In those, too many felt like one man armies. In AOTR, they have a lot more synergy with troops, I think. However, in both vanilla and AOTR, the key way to stop heroes? Spearmen! Hard to believe, but it's so true. One of my first ever videos was all about that. Had to take it down to redo it, but I'm hoping to get it back up soon. Really short but so good to know!
