We are at the X-points Dutch Open 2024 Magic the Gathering (MTG) 93/94 tournament. 50 players battle for the title of probably the biggest offline X-points Magic the Gathering event. In this video you can enjoy the first round between a black and green Fungusaur deck and a three colour mid-range brew.

X-point Old School MTG
This match is played according to the X-points OS rules. That means that the format has a rule set, which is Atlantic; mana burn is real, 1 strip mine and FE is included and the format also has a points list. The points list is a list of cards that have points allocated to them. You can play with these cards, but you can only spend 10 points in total on these cards. For example, a mishra's factory is 1 point, so if you play a full play-set you use up 4 points and you have 6 points left. After resolving the 2nd ritual and doing 3 damage to each creature the gargoyle should have died. He didn't pump the toughness. It wouldn't have been there on his turn to attack

Huh. Here i was thinking that moving out if Utrecht would make it hard to show up to such an event for a looksie... (I dont own any pre-revised and haven't played in 25? years). Guess I'll mark this one down for next year. Its almost walking distance

So with that first dark ritual, if he'd left the black mana floating, could he have regrowthed the dark ritual and cast it again, letting him pestilence for 3 instead?

At 14:00 couldn’t he have instead kept the 1 black floating, cast regrowth then cast the ritual with the floating black to pump 3 into the pestilence one at a time to boost Fungi and kill the granite?

Sinkhole would be as good if not even better than Ice Storm.

I agreed with your earlier comment that the deck probably works best if it is dominantly black. You can still play 4 Fungusaurs and 4 Ice Storm (also play 4 Sinkhole to have that LD theme going) since they only have one G in their casting cost. Maybe also Cumbajj Witches to keep the pinging theme going.
