A goodfriend of mine had ms and i watched the months to his death. Each time i went to the hospice it HURT ME more and more. The pain in my heart grew. I talked to the nurse and she explained that that is the process when your loosing a loved one. It will not gwt easy and it will gradually hurt more with every visit :( Open casket.. i dont recomend anyone doing that. Even as a man... i nevwr wanted to see a loved one in an open casket. Its simply too much... keep the goos memories and avoid that. Death is a part of life that none of us are prepared for... stay strong and remember the good memories
