thats a very nostalgic bus for me as my school in texas had a handful of these Thomas 3800s i started riding on in pre k through almost high school but most of then had DTs only a couple of the shorties had the 444s the engine fans on those buses were so loud i could here them a mile down the street in my neighborhood and that sound means it was time to get on the bus for school! lol if i had the money right now id buy this beauty off yall!

DTs have the same loud fans. The difference is the T444E is so quiet you can hear the fan.

I ride 2001 Thomas school bus this year I’ve been on it sense last school year and it’s our bus this year again it’s in ok shape it’s got rust on the fenders and seats are kinda tore up

When I was young, I rode a bus to school that was so rusted you could sit in the back and watch the tires going around. Prior to state inspections and tight school bus regulations, I could see the outside through the side walls on some of our buses. I rode some pretty rusty buses!! In kindergarten, I rode a rusted to death 1946 International with a 48 passenger Superior body. That was 1959.
