I like the technique you used here. I've been searching for a good tutorial for modelling trees with game optimization in mind. I like that the texture you used had branches. You've given me many ideas thank you. Well done.

I like this tutorial, because it is simple. Another tutorials on youtube uses Nodes to configure colors and transparency, it is not hard, but it is a lot complex for a simple low poly tree.

I like the tutorial. I'm having difficulty keeping the texture looking the same with alpha. Do I need a certain format? (.tga, .tif....) I'm getting the transparency but the colors are not correct.

There is a tree generator that works quite well for future reference, though i do not think it can make low poly leaves....

Good tutorial, but way too fast for someone who isn't already advanced.

Ah well, It was my first tutorial! I think it may have been too fast because I recorded speech after the video. So I was little out of sync.

you save my fucking life !!!....thank to show me how to get a texture on 2 sides!!!...thank you!!!

do you mean the trees from curves script? haven't used that for the game. The quality of the tree depends on the leaves texture. So i've made better and more realistic textures than the one shown in the video.

The leaves texture yea! But not the bark, cuz its not mine :D And let me see the game in the end :P

the explanation of the process I feel is basically too fast and makes it hard to follow, which i found frustrating and spoilt an otherwise very good tutorial.
