This has lost its original beauty. As a Japanese, I and my friends are disappointed. It's a sanctuary that shouldn't be modified. Remember, the old Konami was exceptional. However, you worked hard, thank you. b

I never got to play this one, so I wouldn't know. It's new to my ears and sounds like a breath of fresh air. I'd love to hear the original now. :)

I feel the same way about a lot of Nobuo Uematsu's music; especially from FFVII. Changing literally any note makes the music incorrect.

@@Mike-nf6nf they're not changing notes. They're literally just replicating the chip tune music and having play thru midi. It's pure high quality sound. Far more control for inflection and expression is possible. Chiptune has severe limits. As a musician myself, I highly doubt the original composition was ever intended to be stuck in chiptube and 8bit - a full ensemble is intended and then trimmed down to 4 channels outve pure necessity because of hardware limits. If Chiptune was truly that expressive, we'd see it a lot more. Even MasterBootRecord has a full on band - he himself play electric guitar leads and rhythm when on tour as it's how he intended it to be heard live. There's very little emotion that can be gathered from pure chiptune tracks.

the originals have better rhythm. these arrangements are all very dumbed down rhythmically. there is no swing or groove.

All of these are awful compared to the charm of the original tracks.
