I swear they gatekeep black labels... i promise i sent the cleanest card I literally have... it just happens to be a yugioh starlight i got lucky on. Those go crazy, and there wasnt even a 10 before mine if im not mistaken. That card has not an issue wrong with it, but they gave me a 9.5 on edges. 10 everything else. Ive literally looped the edges TEN TIMES OVER... cant see a single issue...

@@kmclean03 PSA does this too, Vintage pack free no issues instant PSA 9, Off center to hell modern PSA 10, they both gatekeep and need regulation for fraud.

@@kmclean03 spent $350 on two cards for insurance and expedited grading. Took them almost 3 weeks and it was supposed to be 7 business days. They gave me 9.5 on both cards….

Any adult with a brain can spot instantly that there's a massive conflict of interest when it comes to grading. As long as there's no regulatory body, grading companies can't be trusted. If you're sceptical go watch a documentary about frauds in video game collecting market and think about what's stopping people in PTCG from doing the same.

You having control over anyone in government is an illusion. It may be new to you but you hold private businesses accountable by... not doing business with them and doing business with their competitors. You aren't obligated to use their service like you are with government (whether it's good or bad). There's competition and that drives quality up, cost down, and holds companies to account.

BGS had three workers on Pokemon cards, but during the pandemic, two out of the three employees took advantage of the company paid sex change policy. They were recovering for 9 months and got back to work around Q3 2021 just in time for evolving skies.

It’s still puzzling why one would grade their cards, as there is no uniformity. Each grader has their own “opinion” on what they see and feel on each card. Thus, some slabs are cracked open and regraded to be either higher or lower by another grader. There should be an AI grader machine, thus every card is uniform graded. Another puzzling is the cost of grading when the value is higher. I wonder how many graders put higher grades just for higher up charges to make their own books look better. 🤔

Well said about the BGS Black Label premium. It really doesn't make sense because they have full control to gatekeep the population of black labels, and at the end of the day it is still an opinion and no guarantee that the card itself is truly worthy of that grade. Buy the card not the grade!

Iv said this before that grading companies are scammers. you can thank Garry Pokemon for that.. he pumped the markets, had exclusive PSA deals, brought in new collectors which resulted in more money for the hobby and not to mention 90% of collectors are incompetent collectors.

Honestly, the only truly objective way to grade cards, in my opinion, is by using AI that can learn independently analyzing millions of cards to determine what qualifies as a perfect 10. Otherwise, card grading feels like a joke, since it relies heavily on subjective opinions. The inconsistency among graders is obvious; if it weren’t, people wouldn’t be resubmitting the same cards over and over hoping for a better grade😂

AI will never be accepted until it is capable of identifying altered cards. Once it can identify alterations though, I think it will become the absolute standard

PSA charges so much for grading a card base on it's value. This is a scam and people need to stop being sheep, or just start sending their money to me. As a hobby we need 1 grading company that uses AI to determine a grade, and one set price per card. This is the only way to stop being ripped off by scammers.

For me, if I am selling a card, and it literally goes from the pack to a sleeve, after checking it to make sure it has ZERO dings/damage, ill post as Pack Fresh Mint/NM, other wise, Pack Fresh with ding or w.e if damaged in pack. Otherwise, if I had used a card in my deck, ill list it as the condition it is, NM, Mint, LP, and so on. Wont ever use Pack fresh to designate what a card looks like.

His company global growth’s website has a section for collectibles and its a QR code with the Beckett B symbol. Deeper info isn’t too clear from what I can look up, but given the circumstances they all be hella shady with who theyre affiliated with. BGS has a parent company called “Entrust Global” and I wouldn’t put it past “Entrust Global” and “Global Growth” being linked

Or just buy straight, not too much, but a price the average joe doesn't make or can afford. Also, if I really want something, I'll pay a ridiculous amount if I have the money. As for supply, it's 2024, and the charizard seems to still be pulled, but you will never get that 10 that is being held by card graders who control the amount in flow.

Lmfao there goes everyone’s money. Grading companies are shady af for the most part (I will say I have been a MASSIVE fan of Ace Grading for its transparency, art and quality but that’s for a different conversation). Always thought the idea of a Black Label was a scam and their slabs never held the card’s properly. The amount of slabs I’ve seen with wonky cards/positioned incorrectly is absurd and the sleeve looks horrible.
