Hot take... but I'm not seeing the issue here. He seems quite transparent about everything. Sure he comes off snarky/cocky. But many people would be if they found a gold mine. I don't think people are getting robbed here. Gambling is never 'fair'. The people that would say this is scummy/scammy, wouldn't be buying it in the first place, so they aren't even the audience. If someone is into this type of risk vs reward gambling, and they have the disposable income to do so, I don't see an issue. The only way I could see an issue here, is if it was ACTUALLY a scam, and the 'winners' didn't get what they win. Like that poncho 3 way vs gamble... Someone actually won the cards in that, and they each agreed to the terms beforehand. The comparison to bulk pack buying is what really sets it home for me. This is like an expensive halfway point. You still feel the itch of 'loot boxes' that comes with ripping. But you have a bigger guarantee on something at least half decent. You could go right now and buy a $5000 booster pack, open it, and only get $50 back. And I mean the option is out there to just straight up go buy specific slabs you want. People willing to dive into this gamble at $200, should obviously be somewhat knowledgable about collecting Pokemon TCG. They likely realize sure, I could win this $300 slab, or a $100 slab... But I could also just go shop around and buy a $200 slab of a card I really want directly from a seller. If they don't know this information... I don't know what to tell you. These are grown adults. They have the careers to play around like this. So be it. Mind you, I'm halfway through the video so maybe some shady info will come, but so far I'm not seeing the problem. It's like complaining about fancy restaurants and how they overcharge for food. Okay? So don't go eat there? Many people are okay with doing so, so what is the issue? Context, I am not wealthy at all. Fixed income, disabled. Just some food for thought. Should I complain that the $7 pack I bought at WalMart only had $1.50 worth of cards inside? This isn't a new experience. And you know what, the 2nd pack I bought for $7, had $90 worth of cards inside. But at the end of the day, I just care about the cards I like, and having these cool cards on display in my space. Everyone has their reasoning. To me this seems a much lesser evil than things like people fighting eachother at Costco to grab 151 tin bundles so they can sell em on ebay for 5x the price. Or people selling Surging Sparks PC-ETBs on ebay for 5x the price. There is so much wrong with the hobby, but I think whats showcased in the video isn't that bad in comparison.

In this community we have some amazing people like coop for example! Now.. this guy in the video right here I GENUINELY don't believe he's seriously in to pokemon cards. I believe he knows alot about pokemon because he saw a market to make profit from and that's what he did, he learnt about the market and now he's making profit from people who either don't know better or from those who enjoy a gamble..this is capitalism in the end of it Stuff like this will always exist, I've seen a couple KZbinrs doing exactly what this guy does so he definitely isn't the first either and this is great advertisement for him. Sure we might hate his reason for doing all this but money makes the world go round. Theirs people who genuinely enjoy pokemon cards and then theirs people who could careless about them and just use the poke market as a whole to profit from and yes theirs actually quite a bit of profiting when you add up the margins especially from what this guy is doing. In the end if he doesn't do this another person will (they already are) this is a big hobby and gambling has always been a thing ESPECIALLY in gaming! *Cough* Counterstrike😂 but yeah.. these type of people who do this never used to exist so it's important to warn kids about bad this is because many of them may not realize that in gambling THE HOUSE wins most of the time. When very young pokemon collectors see the chance to get super rare expensive cards and channels like this make it seem like it's happening often.. the kids convince their parents to help them purchase. Alot of parents especially if they aren't from this generation theirs quite of few who won't realize this is a form of gambling I've seen this happen in many hobbies and it's sad because this is a gateway AND a form of gambling and it does hurt those who are naturally young and gulliable.

@@okJLUV I don't "go in" on anything. If anything I'm confused on your stance. You seem to dislike this but happily post the instruction manual for views. I'm just telling you the results of what you did. If you don't like scams, don't teach people to scam, and especially don't go "HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL SCAMMER HERE - WATCH EXACTLY HOW HE DOES IT!" I don't even think this is a scam in the first place, compared to opening a pack of Pokemon cards to chase the hit to then grade it PSA 10, this just gets straight to the point and you never completely miss even on the "floor" you just overpay, this guy is getting people high quality slabs at a slight premium compared to card vendors while offering a fun experience and making card vendors tons of money moving stock they probably wouldn't move nearly as fast on their own, where's the scam? All you did is convince me I should probably start doing this too. Compared to rip and shipping, you're actually offering something that isn't just handing someone Pokemon product they could've bought off the shelf.
