Hare Krishna mata ji It's perfectly fine if you want to worship lord Shiva Remember, as per Bhagavatam, lord Shiva is the topmost devotee of Krishna "vaishnavanam yatha shambhu" You can surely pray to him but please try not to ask for some material gain, but ask him for Krishna Bhakti. As soon as you get that thought, immediately bring your mind back to Krishna. Tell your mind “let me chant Hare Krishna mantra for 15 minutes, then I’ll think about it” then chant for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, again do the same. This way you’ll train your mind to get over that temptation. Hare Krishna
