I sometimes think that we have probably misinterpreted the ancient scriptures. Because Krishna (the character in Mahabharata) says what is there in you is also within me. Meaning the divine spark... So when Krishna says surrender to me within you, he is not implying Krishna the character in Mahabharata. He is implying the truth(the rules and order of the universe), the consciousness, the divine spark which keeps you alive...Find the goodness and truth within and make yourself aligned with the divine.

Like waves exists in ocean because of base is ocean. But same ocean is not depends on waves. Ocean is itself complete in itself and does not depends on individual waves. Here the reason of waves is ocean but waves are not the reason of existence of ocean. संसार और समस्त आत्माएँ दोनों भगवान की शक्तियाँ हैं और उनके परम व्यक्तित्व के भीतर हैं। किन्तु श्रीकृष्ण यह भी कहते हैं कि वे सभी प्राणियों में निवास नहीं करते अर्थात असीम सीमित में समाविष्ट नहीं हो सकता क्योंकि वे इन दोनों शक्तियों के कुल योग से अति दूर हैं। जिस प्रकार समुद्र से कई लहरें निकलती हैं और ये लहरें समुद्र का अंश होती हैं लेकिन समुद्र इन सब लहरों के कुल योग से अधिक विशाल होता है। समान रूप से जीवात्माओं और माया का अस्तित्व भगवान के स्वरूप के भीतर समाविष्ट है किन्तु भगवान फिर भी उनसे परे है।🕉🕉

Dharma is not the law of the universe/God. It is simply an explanation of the way things are, combined with a teaching of what to do about it in order to avoid suffering. Buddhas Dharma: Everything is impermanent and out of control - Let go. To act not in accordance with the dharma means to act in a way that will cause suffering due to the way things are. NOT to break a law.
