Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda inaugurates the Shrimad Bhagavatam discourses by Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda held at Mumbai.
In this inaugural speech, Pujya Gurudev highlights the importance of the Bhagavatam in the evolution of spiritual seekers, emphasizes the necessity of Bhakti literature and also throws light on how they fit in the holistic picture of Hinduism. The inauguration speech inspires and motivates seekers walking in the path of devotion as well as contemplation.
🌸Pujya Swami Chinmayananda Ji🌸
In 1974, Swami Chinmayananda gave an interview to Hubert Jessup for the New Heaven New Earth, a WCVB Television programme. Talking outside a church, in his masterly style Swamiji answers a wide range of questions on God, Realisation, Meditation and Life. According to Him, realising God is essentially rediscovering one's nature. Using the example of a bud transforming into a flower and then to a fruit He indicates the need to transcend the mind and intellect.
H.H. Swami Chinmayananda (Gurudev) is a world renowned authority of the scriptures of India, especially Bhagavad Gita and the Upanishads. He is the founder of Chinmaya Mission, through which the work that he initiated and was so dear to him, is carried out in the form of spreading the message of Vedanta, overseeing numerous cultural, educational and social service activities. He worked relentlessly for more than 40 years to bring about a spiritual revival in India and abroad. His unique style and logical approach is appealing to all young and old.

Hinduism is great indeed but Vedanta is the underlying methodology of knowing absolute truth that underpins all ''religere'' to bind back ''man'' to God. Swamiji wanted to show how glorious real religion could be and this glory was incarnated in Him!
