Sri Purandaradasa was one who also is known for simplifying music so that any one could learn. Music in those time mainly in Sanskrit was very complex and except Bramhin community (Mainly associated with priests and gurus and teachers), felt that everyone should be able to learn what we call now Karnatic music and should not be limited to certain class of society. He simplified it.

Pretty much all Classical singers start training at very tender age. The gentleman is her Guru Mr. Kuldeep Pai. These kids who r trained by him, r very famous in South of India ,thanks to internet and other concert performance. There is another younger boy Rahul Vellal is good too. Kids normally learn from teachers who r near by to where they live. But a really talented , potentially strong willing kids do learn from Masteros and Gurus - that is if they want to explore more and become a professional singers of Classical stream. Some of us learn just our own pleasure, and sing on spl festival days. Most of the Bollywood/ Indian cinema singers r classically trained and it gives them a great advantage to sing any note with ease. All these singer practice every day. And learn something new every day. I have my neice and nephew living SFO who r learning Carnatic music from a teacher there. The kids r 9 and 4 years of age.😊
