SIR I am in class 10 and have solve the question.Real love is maths and physics.
@AmanKr-c3q4 ай бұрын
Yeah i did this, but with some basic approach only, i m in 9th so did this with my limited knowledge as follows : ((x^2 - 1)/x)^1/2 + ((x-1)/x)^1/2 = x (Taken LCM) (x^2 - 1) ^1/2 + (x-1)^1/2 = x^3/2 (cross multiply) Square both sides x^2 - 1 + x - 1 + 2 (x^2 - 1)(x-1) = x^3 simplifyng brackets: x^3 - x^2 - x = 0 x(x^2 - x - 1) = 0 now x = 0, (1+ root 5)/2, (1- root 5)/2 but x not equals to 0 bcz there is 1/x and also x not equals (1+ root 5)/2 bcz then x-1/x will be -ve in power 1/2 and it will go to complex roots So, final answer x = (1+ root 5)/2 Really maths is my love If there is a god, then he must be a mathematician, 😄

Sir I have a doubt Sir suppose there is a line AB on Cartesian Plane A=(x1, y1) B=(x2, y2) And point P divides the line internally into ratio m:n Coordinates of P are (x, y) Sir so by using section formula for internal division That is P=(X, Y) Then X= (m * x2 +n * x1)/m+n And Y= (m * y2 +n * y1)/m+n m:n is positive Right sir But if point P divides line AB into r:s externally P=(Z1, Z2) And If I apply EXTERNAL DIVISION FORMULA I am getting r:s = a:b A and Bare constants BUT SIR IF I APPLY INTERNAL DIVISION FORMULA I get ans of r:s as -A/B I asked my school teacher she told that negative sign represents that point dividing the is dividing it externally My doubt is how it is negative and why if we apply internal division formula we get answer as negative

@sudhachaudhary8708 Жыл бұрын
Read the question care fully., 1/x is negative .
@Mooon_Light Жыл бұрын
A square root cannot be negative because the range of square root function is [0, infinity) which means it can only give positive values as their output. For example, while solving quadratic like x^2-81=0 we write x= +-9 but we intentionally add +- after and is not an output of square root which means, x^2=81, x= root81 Now we add +- outside as its a quadratic x=+-root81 and since square root can give only positive values it becomes x=+-9 However if someone asks the value of square root81. It will be ONLY 9. If you haven't studied calculus yet, you won't get the most of what Im saying, you'll understand it once you complete functions in class 12th calculus.
