To make fighter jet engine you need two ingredients -scientific pool in material science to make super alloys that withstand 2000°c of heat and over thermodynamics. Indian company like midhani for past 10 yrs have successfully demonstrated their expertise over light super alloys that withstand temperature above 2000°celsius. But still failing to generate required thrust due to very low availability of PhD in thermodynamics. This has complicated the issue to develop a decent fighter jet engine. Hope in few years we overcome this problem! Thanks!!

Anyone who have contacts in defence ministry please tell these babusahebs that how important is jet engine even if we need to invest more than 5 billion dollars then also we should do it becz nothing is free and perfect we may have failed to achieve goals for kaveri but that doesn't mean to stop the funding for further research and development any nation whi have jet engine also failed many times and invested lot of money we are not any exception we should also take serious steps towards this. Please convey this message that few billion dollar instead of giving freebies can be spent on these critical techs

Gokhale sir no country will give full technology transfer and even if they agree they will take a very long time to do the same, and by that time the tech will become very old. These countries will make sure that we are always dependant on them and that we lag in such tech so that their regular cash flow doesn't stop. There will still be a lot of dependancy for maintenance, spares etc. For eg. even after 30 years we still have to ask Russia, our dearest friend to send us certain parts of the Su-30 engines because we don't have the tech or license to make them. We will not be able to increase our production rate of fighters at the time of emergency, as it will need the engine OEMs also to increase their production rate. Like we heard the news of GE trying to increase it's production rate of F404 to keep up with Tejas mark 1A production rate. Then we also heard supply chain issues causing delays in F404 because of which not even a single Tejas mark 1A could be inducted into the airforce. Just few days before we heard news that the GE engines price will increase. There will always be issues like these and eventually we'll have to beg infront these countries at the time of need. And then these engines will be used to put pressure on India, armtwisting etc. thereby compromising our strategic autonomy. In fact I believe India can develop it's own engine by then, so we should prioritize investing on our own scientists first. And then the joint ventures can go in parallel

The basic conflict is also between the urgent and immediate requirement of fighter aircraft as our squadron strength is seriously depleted; and we have to handle 5&6 Gen enemy fighters on Pak-China and possibly Bangladesh axis. Making our own takes time. We don't have much time so procurement will impact our own internal efforts to manufacture. That's the dilemma. The decision will have far reaching impact on our ability to defend ourselves and also take the fight to the enemy.

Saffron se jyada kuch nehi hoga. M88 ka total thrust 80kn hai. Jo abhi ka kaberi engine afterburner ke sath produce kar sakta hai. Hume chahiye 100kn+ thrust.
