Bhasmasur Hill (Danda) is located in Western part of Kathmandu. It is elevated at an altitude of 2,496 mt above sea level. There are various ways to reach Bhasmasur Hill however we took a new path made by the local of Macchinarayan.
Our hike started from Shanti Ban Stupa. I found the path in a mint state as it was new. A little more effort need to be done so that the shoveled mud path can last during monsoon too!
Bhasmasur is one of the highest crest along with Bhaleshwor, Phulchowki, Badeshwor and Shivapuri that surrounds our beautiful Kathmandu Valley. It also holds a significant place in our history. It is a boarder of Kathmandu & Makwanpur district.
