In Tamil it is called Maavadu a beautiful dish used to eat with morning breakfast with curd rice (left out previous day halaya Anna) in our school days 50 yrs ago it was our daily morning food. I like all the recipes you share. I am fan of this channel. I liked this video as well. A request to you, please don't use plastic containers. They are so harmful to health. They are convenient, but very damaging for health. Especially for thing like pickles. 🙏 🙏 Better to avoid plastic from your life.

Hi Sudharshan. In Kerala especially Central Kerala we call it kadumanga curry or kannimanga curry if I am not mistaken. The word achar is something new that is being attached to it. Please correct me if I am wrong🙏🏽

Are these mango trees different from normal mango trees? What is the season? If they left in tree... will they grow in full big mango?

@@ritushukla9284 Usually, mango pickle in these parts is prepared from special wild mangoes. Some of them, like Appe midi variety, are especially used for pickles or only for certain dishes such as appehuli, tambuli etc. These are not ideal to be eaten as fruits but suit very well for these raw preparations.

Thee ingredients are same for our mavadu but we don't separate the mangoes from salt water. After three days of mixing mangoes with salt the mangoes itself will give water and begins to shrink then we will mix masala with it.. I will try your method next year. All the best team Bhat.
