This Bhavani Mata ancient temple is located near Charthan village in a dense forest at a distance of 40 km from Muktainagar tehsil of Jalgaon district of Maharashtra. Road is available to reach here. As soon as we enter the temple, we get to see Lord Shiva's vehicle Nandi. After seeing the statue of Lord Shri Ganesh on the right and Maa Saraswati on the left, as soon as we enter the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, we see Lord Shiva's Shivling on the ground. A little above the Shivling, we see the beautiful statue of Lakshminarayan and the statue of Maa Bhavani on the left. It is believed that this Hindu temple was built in the eleventh century. Being a place of penance, it is also called Tapovan.This temple is built in Hemadpanthi style which is very beautiful. There is a huge crowd of devotees here during Navratri and Shravan month rituals are also performed here. A temple of Maa Kali is also located behind the temple. There is a beautiful pond near the temple where boating can also be done by boat. This place is very peaceful and beautiful, nestled in the lap of nature. Beautiful mountains of Satpura mountain of Madhya Pradesh are visible from here. There is also a rest house of Maharashtra Forest Department here where you can spend a few days of your holidays comfortably by paying a small amount of money. Wild animals and birds also reside here. Tourism lovers must visit this peaceful, beautiful, delightful and ancient temple-adorned place.
