OMG!!! The container ideas are endless! Your tire garden with the bird bath is ADORABLE!!! The container your hubby cut the lid off seems like too much work. Maybe you can save it to use for rainwater catchment.

Tfs. I repurposed our old coolers and bought a couple buckets at the landscaping place but buying less because of having to buy plants at the age mine would be if I'd started during time it recommended(we ended up with 2 frosts after then and my raspberries died

I lived in Canada for 6 years and still grew few things indoor in my apartment. My uncle has house in Canada and every summer he grows many vegetables. Start few vegetables indoor and then transplant them out when the weather gets around 70f and up

We use 5 gallon buckets for mixing dirt and collecting water, but they will degrade if left in the sun for a few years. Milk jugs become brittle too quickly and shouldn't be used by the time they start to crumble.

Most of the ideas in this video are for seedlings, specially milk containers so they work for me. Even if I buy pots, they degrade, nothing is long lasting so..

We work with what we have, and starting seedlings in the window speeds up the process tremendously in the spring. We've planted in every tray and container we can find, to get the fastest start on the season. In a month or so it will be the hottest time of the year and all the containers will need a connection to the ground so they are insulated.

Hi Bhavna, have you tried re-using the same container soil for fenugreek leaves? My experience was like this- when I first time planted, it grew nice but when I reuse same soil/container, methi didn’t come that nice 🧐

Hi, I get hundreds of Free containers that no one wants from appliance stores that take back old refrigerators Like the Brick Or Lowes they take them to the dump so nobody wants the plastic containers just the metal. I bring them home and drill holes in the bottom and plant in them

I’m confused, you said to get food grade buckets, the Home Depot bucket and the ecolab bucket are NOT a food grade container. The Home Depot bucket is made with polyethylene which is not biodegradable. Anyone thinking of growing plants in a bucket should get the “food safe” or “food grade” bucket. ✌️

Some of these are not the best ideas. Tires are vucalnized and that process generates VOCs; Some of the other plastics listed wouldn't be food grade either. I'd be worried about leeching of chemcials into the soil
