Incredible, simply incredible. Never before have my critical vocations been stymied- that is, until I laid my eyes upon this jaw dropping video. "BHHS Homecoming 2017 Recap Video" is a low- budget, indie feature short that trapezes all of the high-profile glamour of Hollywood film with the natural vibrancy of independent cinema. Director Kassab (or as he is affectionately known as in the business, Jewish Kassab) masterfully strings together branching tenures of adventure in a way that will be sure to leave your head spinning. The themes of pride, compassion, dignity, and loyalty are tastefully explored through the intensely transitional technicals of the film, while all throughout staying true to the story of a multifaceted and diverse high school in the suburbs of metro Detroit. Whether it be in the low-light and climactic setting of the audacious football game, or in the high energy and empowered moments of the Biannual Black Hawk Games, Jewish Kassab captures it- not just in his camera, but in post-edit. Musical synchronizations, filters, transitions, cuts- just about anything you can name! Yet even to the layman viewer, the genius is evident not on the superficialities of production (yet they are surely not to be understated), but in those underlying themes- in that beautiful core message. All in all, "BHHS Homecoming 2017 Recap Video" is not something any self regarding film person can go without watching- a classic of its time and genre, it will surely outlive us all.
