Just add stitches... So make a swatch, off the pattern measure the length of the repeat, you'll have the measurement for the repeat and then add that many stitches per inch or two that you want add

Two strands for faster finish. You might as well use thicker yarn and knit with only one strand.

It's not that big, and most intermediate and up knitter's can probably fly through this in 2 nights for sure! Beginners would probably take the whole weekend Fri night, Sat, and Sunday!
