tl;dr: v2 is not 'easier', it just makes the map compatible universally, and far less rng based note that this is a different version of the map, but is still directly comparable to any run done on arcane_v1 - the original version is inconsistent between servers, making it almost impossible to get the same speed from the large boost on the tetris stage. it's still possible, but incredibly inconsistent. v2 allows any runner to get the same speed from this booster every single time and therefore makes it consistent between servers and overall less of a chore to play the map generally. everything you see here is possible on bhop_arcane_v1, but is far more random than on this version.

no idea really, i tried simulating faste's exact plugins on another server and still got different results than faste, so in the end we just added spaces between the triggers in the tunnel (there are about 5) and then made the floor flat in it, 100% consistency on all servers that way

It's insane, Forest and Unity's runs are literally identical in time in the ice section and all of the bhoping leading up to the 3:00 boost. Not losing his speed on that boost is what makes this run and was something that couldn't be achieved on arcane_v1. Imo, incredible run (like really) but Forest still holds the wr.
