These are more beautiful then US bison.

How beautiful is that, I just learned how they are one of only a few animals that will turn and face the storm, literally choose to walk right into a storm vs. trying to outrun it. What a majestic way to live.

What splendid animals! I live in Montana & we have bison, but I had no idea there was any bison left in Europe!
@AnonYmous-jp3qd2 жыл бұрын
They had almost gone extinct but due to laws designed forbidding anyone but the Polish king from hunting them 300-400 years ago (Polish kings wanted to conserve the species because they were fun to hunt lol) and then later conservation efforts by Russian Tsars during the partitions of Poland and then subsequent Polish governments not only helped them survive but from the 50s onwards (WWI & WWII devastated their populations because the Germans didn't really care about them) they were bred and brought back and now they have a very stable population.

A música de fundo orna maravilhosamente com a majestade lenta e tranquila deles.

A cena final do corpo escuro de um bisão contra o fundo branco da neve é, sem tirar nem por, uma pintura das cavernas pré-históricas europeias. Impressionante.

nice video, could you tell me what month that was and what focal length your lens was too, cheers
@magnuslundborg88066 жыл бұрын
January and 300 2.8 (sometimes with TC 2x). In the forest it's really easy to get close to them, so pack a shorter focal length aswell.

I hope that the reintroduction of Wisent will be as successful as the growth of the American bison herds.
@Kaefer19734 жыл бұрын
Since they are more inbred, I assume there will be a few more problems, but hopefully in the long run it will turn out well.
