I have made Bialys and I’m also in the same bread group on FB. I got my recipe from Jewish Bakers in another bread group, who also wrote a book. The bialy dough is, as you said, a lean dough like bagels. I do prefer bialys to bagels, and use dried onion and poppy seeds per the recipe I have.

I prefer fresh onions, but whatever works for you!! I prefer bagels but my hubby prefers bialys!

Hi Ellen-forget about the makeup-you don't need it! How long and at what temp do you bake the bialys?

I bake them at 425 for about 15 minutes.

Hi there! New friend here coming over from Apron Strings channel where you were given a nice shout-out today. That bread machine is really interesting. I've made a few breads before but the kneading by hand has become rather difficult for me. Never heard of Bialys before but they look good!
