Ah man i love this and have just forwarded it to my 3 sons. They all in their early 40's and have been bought up with Ry's songs playing together with Mr.Hooker and others artists. I haven't got a favorite album or song they are all great but played Bop Til You Drop for years. Flaco Jimenez make this track superb, all of them brilliant doing what they love and enjoy. Thankyou for this ❤❤

The stuff Ry and Flaco do together is very rare in music. The adept listener will notice how they are together on all harmonic invertions and substitutions, and there are a lot of those going on. Most importantly, notice how Ry picks them up throughout Flaco's solo.

@@MrPoodleguy Ry Cooder is fantastic - but he's far from the only great slide guitarist of the era, and most certainly not better than Duane Allman (though he died early on). Warren Haynes, Lowell George, and Bonnie Raitt? Come on!

Jim's original was great. But if he's turning it is with a TexMex beat. He wasn't narrow-minded, as some folks seem to be. Ry likes to take a great song and make it accessible to a wider audience. Listen to his version of "Little Sister" and you'll see what I mean.
