I'm Indonesian living in Japan, and compared to the living costs here, I was kinda amazed with how high the accommodation and the eggs (yes, eggs) prices are. I'd like to know, why are those things so expensive? I mean, we just spend about 250-700 USD per month for normal apartment and about 1.5 USD per 10 fresh eggs...

You live in Japan - that's awesome! The price for accommodation varies depending on where in NZ you live. Auckland (being the biggest city in NZ) has one of the highest accommodation costs in the country. And the eggs... the ones featured in the video were free range eggs so they are more expensive than caged eggs.

Beruntung aku hidup di Indonesia ternyata diindonesia serba murah . Nge kost 550 RB 1 bulan dan 3 JT buat makan roko dan bensin selama sebulan dah cukup 100 RB sehari ( bensin 20 RB , makan 2x 40 RB , roko 20 RB, kopi 5 RB = masih sisa 15 RB ) = , gaji 5 juta masih bisa nabung 1,4 juta ( buat hidup sendiri ) di banding negara lain ckckkcck love Indonesia

Hi Aulia, thanks for watching! I don't really know about living costs in Queenstown so I don't think I would make a very well-informed video about it, I'm sorry... Also, there's no university in Queenstown unfortunately. But if you do attend any of the universities in NZ, it would be really easy to take trips to Queenstown!

I plan on moving to NZ permanently. So I watched your video and I estimated one week 500, one month, 2000. for 6 months the money I need to have pre-finding a job will be 12,000, if 9 months 18,000. But I can conserve and spend less. I am paying off my debt and saving money so I can move there, I need to build up the courage and strength to make the move. Any tips? Were my price estimations correct?

Wow, you're planning on moving here - awesome! The total cost per week of living in NZ that I stated in this video is a very conservative amount. As I said in the video, the price of accommodation varies greatly depending on several factors, mainly location (it can be VERY expensive). I'd say that 500 a week is doable to live on if you live and spend simply. All the best for your preparations and your move!
