Dad teaches us Westerners many fun facts with food and customs. Bibi is a natural and we learn a lot from watching him as well. That bamboo looks a lot like cassava, native to South America. I buy cassava chips to snack on once in a while and seeing Bibi eating the bamboo chips puts me in the mood for them. Gonna run to market later... 🤗💕

Yes, fresh lumpia is the best preparation of bamboo shoots . These are the ingredients. Shrimp, carrots, celery, crushed peanuts, garlic, with sweet sour sauce. Use egg wrapper to make the fresh lumpia. So yummy and served at 5Star Hotel.
