I watch a lot of the "monkey" shows on KZbin and this one strikes me as the most genuine. This dad is one of the few who has not totally sold out to Western (American) culture! I am surprised at the degree of "materialism" among many of the other "monkey shows"- where they are having staged Christmas and New Year celebrations (to each his own I guess), but isn't Vietnam mostly a Buddhist country? A country that normally celebrates the Chinese New Year? Bibi's dad is the only one to even mention one of the most significant holidays in Vietnamese culture - Tet! I think that is really important - staying true to your culture!
