@@MEGABAM1999 *Are you serious?* -- Its written all over scripture, for instance: He is Omniscient (Isaiah 46:9-10), His understanding has no limit (Psalm 147:5) . So... Hes the Only One that can undestand fully what He means with all the variables and intricacies.

Just a few years ago I lost my commentary and I never retrieved it,so this year I ran across another commentary that caught my eye and I decided to start using “The Tony Evans Bible Commentary along with his CSB Study Bible.” So far I love how it works hand in hand for me. Thanks this was was very helpful to me.

My first hardcopy was Matthew Henry's commentary on the whole bible. It's informative and easy to read so I enjoy it... would love to try the esv study bible it looks like it's full of info!

I use the ESV study and Believers Bible Commentary as well. Question, how do you like your Revelation study. Our church is also reading and preaching on Revelation. I've been reading some books, but I would enjoy a study.

I have a full set of Weirsbe commentaries; a full set of Matthew Henry's commentaries; and a full set of Vernon McGee's 'Thru the Bible' series. I also have a ESV study bible, the John MacArthur Study Bible as well. Finally, I also over the Believers' Commentary that you showed. I think that is a fabulous commentary for someone who just wishes to have everything in one volume. I use it a great deal. Fantastic video.

I have several study bibles. I just got the NLT Illustrated Study Bible, which I can’t wait to really get into. My favorite stand alone bible commentary that I have is my Moody Bible Commentary. It is easy to understand and I love it.

I have that believers bible commentary and the Expositor's Bible Commentary, one that my pastor uses and recommended. I like them both for different reasons. I also like Bible Hub commentaries as well. I love your videos. I loved your mom being there as well

I love the ESV study Bible. We also have the CSB study Bible and a few others(more than a few!) I grew up hearing my dad use and talk about Matthew Henry’s commentary…I don’t have it in book form but I love him as well. And I want some others!

A Life Application Bible is a study Bible. It has commentary in it, in the notes at the bottom of each page, but it is not as thorough as a commentary book. No question is stupid!! I love to help 💕

Good Commentary Review. I have the Tony Evans Commentary & the Tony Evans Study Bible, Matthew Henry's Commentary on the Whole Bible, the Baker Illustrated Background Commentary, the Believer's Bible Commentary - because I loved the look of it, but found a problem with one particular scripture where they judged it as "evil" and "judgment" when in fact it was referring to the Holy Spirit's fire (of the anointing). I also have the ESV Study Bible that you have shown in this Review. Probably there are others that I have, but these are the ones I can recall off the top of my head. "You should never ever ... ever read a commentary that's not in line with your beliefs" I will respectfully disagree with you here. If you only read someone who agrees with you, it will be difficult to really grapple with the text and strengthen you own reading and understanding. I'm almost always reading commentators I disagree with and I haven't lost confidence in my beliefs or readings.

My books mimic yours. McArthur Commentary/Study Bible (from Grace to You app - online), Bible Believers Commentary (bought as an ebook), and ESV Study Bible (large print). I use them in the order listed above. I just got the ESV study bible and wanted to love it, but even with the large print, it is hard to read. The paper is sub-par, IMHO.

I don't know why people just don't buy good commentaries except they don't know better. Anybody who thinks that MaC has anything to say doesn't really know too much. It's important to first know which Bibles support free will (KJV/CSB) vs. predestination/Calvinism (most others like ESV) before investing in Bibles or commentaries.

Wished to get handy guide on geography, history, archeology, mentality to understand. Like bible does not explain many actions of israelites going out, why exactly such colours on tabernacle, what is the connection between peeled poles and goats urge to mate, how on earth lot could offer to sodomites 2 daughters and such issues which require factual knoledge which never be found out on my own and not mere insights or paraphrases of an author or way to apply it which i can figure out myself. Did you spot any of such, better be one volume or an app?
