Bible journaling on a budget | Doodling Faith

Today’s video is all about how to bible journal on the cheap. For some of you who are new to bible journal, choosing supplies can be quite overwhelming and expensive. I’m a firm believer that you shouldn’t spend millions of pounds in supplies to be able to bible journal.
Journaling is all about digging deeper into the word of God!
However, we all love to get creative on our bibles, so I thought I’d give you some tips on how to make the most of the things you have at home.
My top tips are:
Tip 1 Repurpose
Tip 2 Shop around
Tip 3 When you do spend some money, invest in materials that are re-usable
Finally, be creative with what you have. You don’t have to spend a fortune to Bible journal. Don’t forget that journaling is all about spending time with God and getting to know more of his word, so all you really need is a pen and a Bible! :)

One idea for inexpensive tip ins is to use blank, lined project life or index cards. I use some for taking notes, and others I will alter with paint or ink. I then use both sides of the altered cards for images and notes. This also helps me because I'm one of those who doesn't like to cover over the text, so the cards are the perfect place to create to my heart's content.

Another tip from me is don't overlook office supplies you may have at your desk. Photo paper or transparency sheets for the printer, window envelopes from junk mail, highlighters, cute colored paper clips, etc.

Love the idea of using the cards to make journaling spots. I have a bunch that I've saved just because of who sent them, but they're getting out of hand. This way I can keep them and don't have to deal with a lot of storage.

I save my cards as well and use them in my journaling. Often, the Bible journaling videos I watch can get overwhelming with all of the mediums being used. I'm not a beginner, but I don't like all the bling, bling either so thank you for doing this video.

Yep. I also don't like all the covering of the text. I want to be able to read the word, so margins and tip-ins are the way I go. I use the backs of tip-ins to take notes. I also like using clear plastic like transparency sheets or vellum/thin paper to make tip-ins. Making stuff on the printer is also simple and inexpensive, and you can find an image that conveys the way the verse is speaking to you.

I repurposed my washi tape put on piece paper cut it out as tap and put on journaling page in bible and use transparent tape cover the tab laminate it and great way just found out make tabs .
