The old covenant gives a larger picture of the life of the individual in the new covenant. We are new covenant believers, and Christ is the chief cornerstone. I'll be more nervous reading the words of Jesus concerning the end times.

Dear sister in Christ, I commend you for your good intentions in doing Kingdom work. I also feel I have to caution you to be sure that everything you say is biblical. You said "Repent on behalf of your city".... I don't believe that is biblical. Please support this with bible verses. Please also make sure those verses are not taken out of context, like from Nehemiah. He repented on behalf of Israel and he could do that because they were under the Abrahamic Covenant that God made with their nation. We are in a new covenant, the covenant God has with the Church. Entry into that covenant is through repentance first and it is individualistic. Each one is responsible for their own sin so you can't ask for forgiveness for someone else's sin - not your church, nor your nation. We can only repent for our own sin and pray that others come to see their sin and repent.
