Just a note on Who are the chosen? They are referred to in chapter 22:14 as in 'many are invited but few are chosen' ie. the ones who do the will of the Father (ie. who wear the proper wedding attire)

When we read the NT, it's good to notice who is speaking and who is the audience. In Matthew 24-25, Jesus was having a private conversation with his disciples, what he said applied directly to them. The temple they were looking at, it was that specific temple that was destroyed in 70AD. Jesus was talking to them about the end of the age, the tribulation, and his return, and in verse 34 he said it would be THEIR generation. Do our churches today teach this? No. So we have to decide: do we believe what Jesus said about his return, or do we believe what men say? There are other verses where Jesus talked about his return, and all show his return was imminent for them in that time. Matthew 10:23 Jesus told his disciples, when they were persecuted in one city, to flee to another, that they wouldn't have gone over the cities of Israel before the Son of man came. Matthew 16:28 Jesus told his disciples that some of them would be alive at his return. Matthew 26:64, Jesus told Caiaphas that he'd see Jesus sitting on the right hand of power and coming in the clouds of heaven. Do you see? We live in an age after Bible prophecy, under the new covenant. Two earth eschatology is first earth and new earth coexisting. New earth is the kingdom of heaven, where the massive holy city, New Jerusalem, is. Along with Rev 21,22, Isaiah 65,66 and Ezekiel 40-48 are about new earth.

What’s your thoughts on Matthew 24:36 when Jesus says not even the Son knows but only the Father. That is confusing to me since in the Trinity, God, Son and Holy Spirit are one.

I love that you asked this. I wasn’t sure what was next if anything. Yet serving others has always been my desire, soooooo, I know stopping is not an option ☺️🙌🏼 to be very honest where I wanted to go, I prayed about a lot. About a week later I felt comfortable going with one of 3 different books, and like most big decisions (because I don’t take this one lightly), I sought the Holy Spirit, and a trusted mentor and friend. And the answer and direction right now is not where I originally desired ☺️ welcome to walking with the Lord lol ❤️❤️

Kaela… I am so confused about what the second coming of Jesus is. I thought that meant it’s unexpected because we don’t know when we’re going to die. Then I’m reading that’s not what that means. Is there a commentary you can direct me to to explain it better?

The second coming of Jesus isn't about our earthly death, but about when He will return (which is still to come and no one knows the time as the Bible clearly states). 24:36 Even though Jesus says no one knows I am 👀 curious with total respect for scripture. Now referring to the Trinity, three persons in one God, would mean Jesus is God. God is all knowing so wouldn’t Jesus know the hour? 👀

It's such a great thing to be curious about, and curious with the respect for the Truth. I love that you said that. We know Jesus is FULLY God, and was FULLY man. See if you can find things while on earth that He "veiled" as to be fully man. For example, he got hungry, he got thirsty... have a look at Philippians chapter 2 and see if that gives you some insight. 🕵🏼‍♀️😉

Lady you have not a clue what the Bible said in Matthew 24 ... it is about the Jews in the tribulation God's chosen people. .. you are a false teacher... the Bible you are using got a lot of errors in. Compair it with the KJV.
