The other two are his younger brother's robin ( no beard)& Maurice (with a beard), whom are fraternal twins ,and theyhad a younger brother named andy gibb ( famous in his own right) .he looked like barry except younger and without the beard. No, Barry could not have done this by himself. The main driving part of The Bee Gees is the harmonies. The chorus would not work without Robin and Maurice. The group did not have a main singer but when it came to the falsetto songs Barry was the main man.

@@fredklimenko3311 I do not agree. Barry had so much control on the falsetto voice whereas both Robin and Maurice had troubles when it came to holding the tones. But I think you are correct, Maurice had a good voice, the way that he was the link between Robin and Barry's voices just shows that. Without him the harmonies would not be the same.

The Bee Gees were a music group formed in 1958. Their lineup consisted of brothers Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb. The trio were especially successful as a popular music act in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and later as prominent performers of the disco music era in the mid-to-late 1970s.

That is Barry Gibb the oldest of the three brothers and its his real voice but in falsetto. You can tell they have been singing together for a long time, their harmony is spot on. The way they all hit the staccato in the middle of the verse without missing a beat. Barry's voice hovering right there in the sweet spot in that warm area with that blend of breathiness then pitching up to the higher notes with a hint of nasal in the note then mellowing back down in perfect harmony. Thats true talent

This is an older song. Every penny made from this song went to UNICEF the first band to ever give all of the proceeds from music to charity. The guy in the black died in 2003 his name is Maurice pronounced Morris. The one in the middle is Barry and he is famous for his falsetto. He is the only brother alive and he I believe is 77. The guy on the left his name is Robin who happens to be fraternal twin with Maurice, died in 2012. They had a younger Brother named Andy who also was a singer who died in 1988. I am 59 and I was raised on the Bee Gees I was blessed enough to see them perform in 1978. I have seen this video and heard this song 1000 times and every time I hear it I still get goosebumps even in the middle of the summer. They were incredibly successful, particularly in the late 70s but they didn't sell that many albums. By any official and accredited sales charts, they don't make the top 10 of groups. I've checked it out several times before. The Beatles are at number 1. Abba are at number 10. In between it's all classic rock band, such as Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Eagles, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Queen etc.

@@fredklimenko3311 - I've checked this many times over. It's you that needs to check again. The Bee Gees don't make the top10. Also, I'm presuming the album you're referring to is Saturday Night Fever? It's the 7th biggest selling album of all-time, with 40 million sales. More importantly it's not a Bee Gees album. It's a film soundtrack album featuring several different artists. Even more importantly, none of their other albums trouble the top 200. In contrast, a band like Zeppelin had every album, except their debut, go to number 1 in both the UK and the US, as well as numerous other countries. Even their debut was top 10. This includes several of the biggest selling albums of all-time. Including Led Zeppelin IV, which is only a couple of million behind Saturday Night Fever. It's a similar story with Pink Floyd, whose Dark Side of the Moon is the 3rd biggest selling album of all-time and which holds the record for most weeks on the Billboard album chart, by a mile! Having spent close to 1000 weeks on the chart. That's almost 20 years! They also have several other albums in the top 100 biggest sellers. I know this because I've checked and double-checked, when discussing the topic with diehard fans, of various bands, who've made similar exaggerated claims for their favourite act. My favourite was an Abba fan that was claiming more than 2 billion record sales for Abba. That would have meant Abba selling more than The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Led Zeppelin, Michael Jackson and Pink Floyd combined!
@Codex7777
@Codex7777 3 жыл бұрын
Zeppelin and Floyd are also in the top 3, when it comes to best selling back catalogues. Even today their albums outsell most contemporary artists. It's a similar story, to a slightly lesser degree, for acts like Queen and The Rolling Stones. In contrast, the Bee Gees back catalogue doesn't trouble any contemporary charts.

I can tell you exactly why you're liking this. The harmony is fantastic, you can understand all of the words, and it's one of those tunes that you'll be singing all day long. These are all what we were feeling when we first heard them so many years ago. A good song will always be a good song. I happy you're finding these older tunes for you to love and to pass them down to younger generations. By doing that, younger performers to come will be inspired to write songs like this and restart the style that made the Bee Gee's so popular and well loved. There are so many songs left by these guys that you haven't heard yet, you both are in for treat. Enjoy....

It's like they invented harmony. Live band, no auto tune, no computerized voice enhancement and one mic for all three of them. Back then (1979). singing was just pure, raw talent. By the date of this recording, the BeeGees had already been singing together professionally for 21 years when Barry was 12 years old and the twins were just 9. All of the Gibb brothers including little brother, Andy, could sing in that amazing falsetto voice. But Barry was the master. He was able to exorcise more control over it. The Gibbs were, in my opinion, the most multi-talented families in music history. They wrote their own songs as well as writing songs for many other musical greats.This song was included on a compilation album to benefit UNICEF. There were many artists who recorded songs on the album, but the BeeGees gave all the royalties from this song in any form. In, at that time, an unprecedented move, they also gave UNICEF the publishing rights to Too Much Heaven. To date, Too Much Heaven has raised over 11 million dollars for UNICEF. In 1967, they wrote a song called To Love Somebody which appeared on their third album titled BeeGees 1st, but their first internationally, as the first two albums were only released in Australia. BeeGees 1st was released in July '67. Otis Redding was set to record To Love Somebody on his next album. Sadly, Otis was killed in a plane crash, Dec 10,1967. I thought for the longest time that they didn't record it themselves until after the death of Otis Redding. Their brother Andy Gibb had a very successful solo career as well until his death on March 10,1988. Just 5 days after turning 30. Andy had developed myocarditis, inflammation of the heart, which was brought on by a viral infection While most people recover from myocarditis, Andy's body was unable to fight the infection due to his history of drug use. Soo sad!

The Bee Gees are LEGENDS!!! React to Fanny Be Tender (with my love). Excellent song that was earlier in their career off the Main Course album that had Jive Talkin and Nights On Broadway - also need to react!! You just opened up all sorts of doors with this group. Barry, the guy in the middle, is still alive but his brothers have passed away. ☹️ And Bee Gees is named after Brothers Gibb, their last name is Gibb.

No don't call them by that... they are classic and deserve respect. They had 6 songs in the top 10 at one time!! They've written over 200 classic songs... not just for themselves but a lot of different people. They are the best group ever!!! They can all sing very good. Each have their own gifts and sing lead on different songs. The 2 twins on the ends have passed away... they also have a younger brother "Andy Gibb" who was a sole artist ...who has also passed away. The 1 in the middle is Barry and is the only 1 still living. He does have a sister, but she never got into the music industry. The Bee Gee's are and always will be the best group ever!! I grew up listening to them and their brother, Andy. The best times ever!! And no computer crap to help them either!! It's pure talent!

This performance was in the recording studio in 1978-79. They recorded the song for a children's charity. Plus, the song came out a little after the Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack which was done in 77-78. Barry,Maurice, and Robin Gibb (Maurice was on the right and Robin was on the left. They were twins). Barry was in the middle. Unfortunately Robin Gibb passed away from a stroke and Maurice passed from lung cancer. They had another brother named Andy. Barry wrote a few songs for him like "I just want to be your everything", "shadow dancing", (our love) Don't Throw it All Away", and "Love is thicker than water". But, when was just 30, he passed away from a drug overdose. Please pick out some of those songs and they'll be good for you.

The BeeGees (Brothers Gibb) have been a favorite of mine since high school (Class of '79, Baby!) My graduation gift was two tickets to their concert at the Oakland Coliseum... so happy you two like them, too! Great reactions- keep doing what you're doing. I'm looking forward to seeing your channel grow!

This song came out in 1977.. Barry Gibb, the one in the middle, is the oldest and Maurice and Robin Gibb are on the right and left. Maurice and Robin are twins and they have both died. Barry is still performing. They started in 1958 at the ages of 12 and nine and went through the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and more. They wrote for others also.

I just seen a video from an Australian variety show in 1963. Brother Gibbs aka Bee Gees: Barry, Robin, and Maurice were in their teens singing a song. I figured out their ages during this time: Barry was 16, Robin and Maurice were 14. Barry still sings today with his own band. His son, Steve Gibb plays guitar with the band. Someone mentioned about their younger brother, Andy Gibb died in 1988.

The only surviving member of the Bee Gees, Barry Gibb, says he sometimes "hears and sees" his late brothers. Robin died in 2012 aged 62, nine years after his twin Maurice. The youngest Gibb brother - Andy - died of a heart attack aged 30 in 1988.

The BeeGees( The Brothers Gibbs) Barry ,the guy in the middle, Maurice , the guy with the beard, and Robin ,vthe guy to his right. Maurice and Robin were twins . Only Barry the guy in the middle is alive, who is the oldest. They had a younger brother Andy Gibb who also sang, he too died. Most of the songs were sung by Barry and Robin. Other great songs: Fannie Be Tender With My Love, I Started A Joke, Words, How Can You Mend A Broken Heart, Stayin' Alive, Nights On Broadway, I've Got To Get A Message To You, and many more.💯💯💯💯🎤🎶😯👍

I hadn't heard this song is years, I had almost forgotten how good great harmonizing sounds. Great group out of Australia. The name "Bee Gees" actually means The Brothers Gibb, Gibb being their last name. If you want more Bee Gees get anything off the Saturday Night Fever album which pretty made Disco a dance phenomenon in the late 70's-mid 80's, beyond that they have a huge catalog. Their younger Andy Gibb was yet another super talent that died young check his song Shadow Dancing for a flavor of his talent. Unfortunately they are all dead except for the oldest brother who was the lead singer.

No. BeeGees. Pronunciation is B G’s. Best vocalists you’ll ever hear. No joke!!!!!! These guys have been around since way before you were born. They had hits in the 60s the 70s the 80s and even into the 90s. They have the most beautiful voices and the way they harmonize is like no other. You have three brothers and their voices together sound like heaven. Welcome to the beautiful world, the beautiful music of the greatest singers ever. If I lived to be 100, there will never be another group like these guys❤️

5 decades. 3 brothers - Robin (whose falsetto is allegedly higher than Barry’s) and Maurice. Barry usually has his guitar. Maurice (the “little one,” as you put it) usually has a bass or keyboard. There’s a considerably younger brother, Andy, who died tragically just as he was supposed to join the group. He had his own solo career. Barry and Robin usually split who sings lead, but most Barry. Maurice passed. Next and the. Robin. Barry is the oldest and the only one left. And yes, Barry still performs with two of his sons. Always loved Barry’s hair! They just kept changing with the times. My fave group of all time. There’s a documentary on HBO(?) about them on now. I also love You Win Again and Fallen Angel (Caroline). Barry didn’t always use the falsetto because he didn’t know he could! Watch the doc!
