This resonates with me so much. I’m like the Israelites trying to rebuild while still being impure, because of sin. I must repent and turn from my old ways, in order for God to give me His blessing on my life, and to rebuild even stronger than ever. Praise God for revealing this to me!

It's impossible to escape that theme: Keep the Father first at all times in your life so that He can bless you. Israel walked away from Him constantly, thinking they could have more only to lose everything. Our efforts will be the same if we choose to ignore Him. Excellent work as always!

This is awesome! Just got put on to it for a church group I’m joining. It speaks to what God has been speaking to me about the importance of obedience and doing what He tells us to do because otherwise there will be consequences and undesirable consequences that can be avoided if we are careful and intentional to just do what He says whether in the written Word/the Bible or His Word spoken directly to us. i went through many years without God. He never left me, but I turned my back on Him. Sometimes i’m tempted to think that those years were better, I was having fun and i didn’t care about anything or anyone, i just wanted to have fun, while now it’s harder. Praying even when I feel like God isn’t listening, dealing with doubts, trying to control my anger, trying to follow God’s will. It’s just harder. This book taught me to hold on and be strong, and keep going this way, because just like the future glory of the Temple will be greater than its past glory, so will my life be much greater than it used to be if I keep working to get closer to our Father.
