BibleProject creates free resources to help you experience the Bible. Everything we make is funded by generous supporters around the world. You can see our entire video library, check out our other resources, and give at bibleproject.com. Correction: At minute 1:47 the reference to Psalms 89:51should be Psalms 89:52.

And like that mistake, many many others can be found in these videos, that is not to say they are wrong but a reminder for the men making them, to not fall for believing they know "everything" about the Scriptures. Remember the advise the Lord has given in the Bible AND in the Qur'an. In the Bible:"do not be like those who pray in the synagogues and on the street corners, for they have received their reward in full"; and in the Qur'an: "do not rush to recite the Qur'an before the revelation is fully complete but say 'Lord increase my knowledge'". That also means that those who rush to speak or "teach" have received ALL that they will receive but not ALL THERE IS to receive.

Bible Munch Couldn't agree more! What a difference these videos make, especially for children, whom I've found love the visuals, as much as they do being able to understand the overall concepts and how they tie together with each other, in such a short time. The overviews are so well done that they're left wanting to know the specifics and details, and so move onto read the Bible itself to know more, Praise the Lord :)

I’ve always been a Christian, but have never truly read the Bible. I, personally, reject the idea of organized religion so I haven’t been a member of any denomination. I encouraged my children to find their own path, their own understanding and their own relationship with God. Recently, my 15yo has challenged me to look into a book a day. I’ve watched your Matthew, Mark and know Psalms videos. Thank you for putting these together and helping to educate and spread the word of God. ❤️

Ephesians 1:22-23 God put all things under Christ's feet and gave him to the church as supreme Lord over all things. 23 The church is Christ's body, the completion of him who himself completes all things everywhere. Moral of the story, goto church, take your Eucharist. Don’t be a modern day Christian and think you’re above the church.

It is by God's grace that I am still going through the Bible with the Bible Recap and about to start Psalms tmrrw and also His perfect timing bc I couldn't have needed it, the biggest book in the Bible about prayer, more right now. I mean, when do we not need more prayer in our lives but this time the Holy Spirit is opening my eyes to just how desperately I need to pray and to desire to bring more of my burdens to Him, the only One who can provide what I truly need in a way that I do not lose hope or joy.

You guys are doing a great job. Thank you. May I mention that the book of Psalms is the most quoted book in the New Testament. Another interesting fact about the psalms are number 113 to 118 wich where sung (as a tradition) at Jesus´ ¨last super¨ with his disciples. (Matthew 26:30) So reading these psalms let us know what Jesus sang right before he was arrested and sentenced to death by crucifixion.

The Bible Project I don’t understand why you list that it is a “new Torah.” Jewish tradition states that the separation of the books relates to each book of the Torah.

These videos are a real help to Bible studies. Understanding the basics before starting the text frees up a lot of brain space.

Isn't it crazy that hallelujah is one of the only words that all languages say similarly

@Henrik Ström how is hallelujah "praise yah"
@Rotisiv
@Rotisiv 3 жыл бұрын
@@IAMDC322 let me educate you my dear friend: Yah or Jah is the short form of the Hebrew: “יהוה”which translates as the tetragrammaton or the divine name of God: YHWH (which doesn’t have a certain pronunciation of it although scholars use יַהְוֶה/Yahweh as the closest pronunciation to what it might have sounded like and also based on the multiple theophoric names that ancient jews frequently named their kids with). As for baal or baʽal well let me tell my dear friend it is NOT a proper name of a one pagan deity, it’s a semitic noun which literally means “lord” or “owner” and it was used by canaanites when referring to all of their gods in general although it must be noted, that despite the fluidity of the term it was used eventually attached to their false god of fertility and storms which in the bible, the Prophet Elijah scorned the canaanites for worshipping. So in conclusion no yah doesn’t mean or even equate with baal and the True Living God of the Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam) doesn’t have ANYTHING to do with the false and lifeless heathen “deities” of pagans.
