Jer 11:10 - Recorded - "They have returned to the sins of their ancestors, who refused to listen to my words. They have followed other gods to serve them. Both Israel and Judah have broken the covenant I made with their ancestors." The covenant God had made with the ancient Jewish race is no longer in effect today -- it has been gone and gone and loooong past obsolete. It was under a "conditional" promised of blessings which said: "if they would obey Him, He would be their God. The universal society at large now has a blood covenant with Christ Jesus -- no more Old Testament Covenant. All must come to know the Lord Jesus Christ if one wants God's blessings in our time -- including eternal life. be blessed.

Your teachings are very instructive and I appreciate your teachings and have learned much. Respectfully, I believe you are mistaken in saying "Arabs" are descendancts of Ishmael. Some Arabs are, that is true, but not all. Ishmaelites are descendants of Abraham. Today the term Arab refers to people that speak Arabic but they are of different ethnicities. Most Arabs of today, I think, are descendants of Ham while Abraham is a descendant of Shem. Saying all Arabs are descendants of Ishmael propogates the myth that Islam tries to put forth.

@@philipbuckley759 some Arabs who probably migrated to the area of Saudi Arabia. "Arabs" are connected by language. However they come from many different "tribes" so to speak. Mohammed did not claim to be a descendant of Ishmael so the current narrative that all Arabs are descendants of Ishmael is false. Abraham also had sons by Keturah.

@@philipbuckley759 I believe the New Testament started when Jesus started his ministry. I am sure that all that is written is simply recording what Jesus actually said. Mind you the writers only understood it after his resurrection. For example they could really understand a virgin birth until Jesus rose again. No trouble believing it then. Should we really call it The Old and New Covenants.

+Diane Watson I'm enjoying this...but I've got to say I disagree that the "old covenant" does not apply to us. That it was made with Moses. It was given THROUGH Moses for the children of Israel...but it says several times in the Tanakh that there is one torah for the native born and the non native born. I see no where in Scripture that it has been rescinded. Even in Hebrews, which was written at least 30 years AFTER the death of Messiah, that it was becomING obsolete, growING old, READY to pass away...not that it had, not that it was, but was in the process of ("ing) and this was well after the cross. And the writer of Hebrews believed he was living in the last days as evidenced right at the beginning of the book chapter 1 verses 1 and 2...in these last days. As that was nearly 2000 years ago, I think we can safely say it was not the last days. It does come out at first and say it is obsolete...but you know what so is this computer I'm working on right now...and I'm still using it. But then it goes onto say it is becomING, growING, getting READY to pass away. Reading Jeremiah 30 and 31 regarding the prophecy of the new covenant...it is for the last days. There are many aspects of that prophecy that have not yet taken place and yet the prophecy says and AFTER those days. Well, those days haven't come to pass yet, so we can not be AFTER those days yet. Yeshua opened the door to the new covenant but it has not been fulfilled, we have not crossed over the threshold yet. We are still in the "Old" Covenant. The writer of Hebrews does not trump Jeremiah. Futhermore, the new covenant is made with the house of Israel and the house of Judah...they have not yet been reunited, this has not happened yet.

+Diane Watson You refer to churches that use incense and suggest that puts them back under the old covenant...the first church that comes to mind is the catholic church...and they have only bastardized the Mosaic covenant. Only a Levite is to make that incense according to the instructions in the Torah...and the incense is an offense if it is offered yet the Torah is transgressed. Now you might talk about the idea that the Levitical priesthood is over...read Jeremiah 33:17-25. Here are some more covenants. 17 “For thus says the Lord: ‘David shall never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel; 18 nor shall the priests, the Levites, lack a man to offer burnt offerings before Me, to kindle grain offerings, and to sacrifice continually.’”The Permanence of God’s Covenant19 And the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying, 20 “Thus says the Lord: ‘If you can break My covenant with the day and My covenant with the night, so that there will not be day and night in their season, 21 then My covenant may also be broken with David My servant, so that he shall not have a son to reign on his throne, and with the Levites, the priests, My ministers. 22 As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, nor the sand of the sea measured, so will I multiply the descendants of David My servant and the Levites who minister to Me.’”23 Moreover the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying, 24 “Have you not considered what these people have spoken, saying, ‘The two families which theLord has chosen, He has also cast them off’? Thus they have despised My people, as if they should no more be a nation before them.25 “Thus says the Lord: ‘If My covenant is not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth, 26 then I will cast away the descendants of Jacob and David My servant, so that I will not take any of his descendants to be rulers over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. For I will cause their captives to return, and will have mercy on them.’”

+Diane Watson excellent observations on the book of hebrews. in fact you have to become an israelite to be saved. eph. 2:12, rom. 11:25, 26, mat. 15:24 and being an israelite is being a person who keeps torah.
